  1. Hasbro was founded by the Hassenfeld Brothers, Henry and Helal, in Providence, RI, in 1923.
  2. MR. POTATO HEAD, created in 1952, was the first toy advertised on television.
  3. G.I. JOE, the first action figure, was released in 1964.
  4. Hasbro became a publicly-traded company in 1968.
  5. The Hasbro Charitable Trust was established in 1983 (now the Hasbro Children's Fund).
  6. Hasbro acquired Milton Bradley in 1984.
  7. Tonka, Kenner and Parker Bros. became a part of Hasbro in 1991.
  8. Hasbro acquired Wizards of the Coast in 1999.
  9. Hasbro continues to expand globally with new offices in Brazil, China and Russia.
