Job Function

Lead the Americas Brand Licensing region as a key competitor in the lifestyle merchandising market by developing regional strategy & action plans to deliver compelling product in support of the global brand plans, to hit or exceed the P&L targets for the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Leads the creation of the Americas Strategic Plan (North America & Latin America regions). Aggressively identifies category gaps and signs / develops licensee's to drive and close gaps
- Fully responsible for all aspects of the Americas P&L
- Drives & closes major revenue based deals / partnerships in the region, in conjunction with global
- Drives senior level retail relationships in conjunction with Hasbro’s Customer Strategic Marketing (CSM). Leads retail relationships where needed e.g. in lifestyle accounts.
- Fully responsible for leading, motivating & organizing the Americas team of category experts: organizational development, process efficiency & strategic planning. Heavy focus on driving operational speed / deal closure.
- Americas business unit head + key global team player in sharing of best practice & evolution of the global strategy
- Spearheads the execution of the Franchise Merchandise Plans & accountable for activation of that plan in region: develops new or elevates existing partnerships into longer term, strategic deals that have a significant P&L impact.
- Develops & executes retail specific merchandise strategies for the franchise merchandise plan
- Drives & communicates Americas business vision internally & externally.
- Managing internal stakeholders - developing trusted & powerful relationships throughout the organization: being an advocate and the voice of change to improve the business. Key partner to global franchise team and global creative team.
- Key global team player: key role in the leadership of the global organization.

Education, knowledge and experience required

- Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience of licensing business, with profit and loss responsibility
- Minimum 10 years experience in managing people and teams
- Solid experience in Consumer Products, Marketing, Retail / Buying. Deal intensive background. Commercial roles with good grasp of consumer understanding.
- Deep understanding of core categories - soft goods, hard goods, food. Demonstrated ability to grow major categories in spite of obstacles.
- Proven retail development experience, must come with a rolodex of key contacts
- The ability to be both visionary and strategic in thinking as well as tactical in executing strategies
- Must be able to drive key trusting relationships at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a matrixed organization.
- Must be a strong sales person and influencer of people
- Broad working knowledge of the entertainment business
