Purpose of the Role

  • The Global Supply Chain Team is accountable to Plan, Source, Make and Deliver Toys & Games to Hasbro quality standards, On Time & In Full and at target costs to customers through a global supply network of manufacturing partners, material suppliers, test-labs, model-shops, and toolmakers.
  • The Sourcing Centre of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for developing, deploying, and embedding the required methodologies, tools, and capabilities across the Hasbro Procurement organisation to drive scale, repeatability, and best practice work processes.
  • Transforming the approach to Strategic Sourcing will deliver the competitive advantage Hasbro needs to win in the marketplace. Strategic Category Management is what best-in-class procurement looks like and will be the key pillar of the function. Strategic Category Management will ensure the creation and consistent execution of sourcing methodologies that will deliver clear business benefits in quality, service, and price metrics.
  • The role will support the Head of the Sourcing COE with the design, deployment, and adoption of a formal Strategic Category Management program. In addition, it will provide ongoing support for procurement processes via relevant tools and training to achieve excellence in the areas of spend analysis, sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • The jobholder works closely with the Category Sourcing Leaders in the development and operationalization of their category sourcing strategies of the various product and material categories.
  • This highly strategic and collaborative role requires the ability to partner with, and influence stakeholders across Hasbro Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, Global Consumer Insight Organisation, and Commercial Markets.
  • The jobholder reports to the Head of Sourcing CoE

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Under leadership of the Head of Sourcing COE, deploy and operationalize Best-in-Class procurement processes.
  • Lead transformation initiatives to drive a step-change in sourcing productivity, supplier performance, and report results.
  • Support the development and implementation of the sourcing technology strategy & roadmap.
  • Implement knowledge retention initiatives (e.g., best practices, process manuals, standard contracts/T&C’s, price benchmarks, RFx templates, cost models) across the Sourcing organization.

 

Experiences and Capabilities

  • A procurement expert with a passion for developing best practices and teaching teams to perform at their best. Must be a proven change agent confident in ‘standing alone’ and embedding sophisticated and advanced processes.
  • Must have the ability to think on the fly while drawing on procurement experience to provide real life examples and theory to problems or questions from groups of experienced procurement professionals.
  • Ability to develop a rigorous and consistent methodology and training program that can flex to global and cultural nuances.
  • Extensive project management experience with the vision to develop, deploy, adjust, and embed a comprehensive strategic sourcing methodology that will transform and upgrade the sourcing function for years to come.
  • Proven experience in procurement or a closely related field preferably in fast moving consumer goods.
  • Master’s degree or significant relevant experience in a related discipline such as Procurement, Supply Chain or Engineering.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
