This enables us to deliver results in all aspects of our business.</span></span></p> <p>The Sr. Category Licensing Manager for North America is responsible for the Business Development of Brand & Category Strategic plans that meet divisional objectives.  The role will include responsibility for the delivery of Hasbro’s agreed financial targets (sales, profitability & growth). Additionally, this role will include Full Category level P&L responsibilities; including budgeting and quarterly forecasting. The successful candidate will possess flawless execution of category plans via competitive knowledge, strong relationships & best in class product execution & superior internal / external stakeholder management. This role will require Leadership and line management of the Category segment within the brand teams that will reach across a host of Hasbro’s exceptional and expansive brand portfolio. Finally, the Sr. Category Manager will lead the negotiation of all contracts and act as the primary ambassador of the relationships within that licensee base.<br />  </p> <p><strong>A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SR. CATEGORY MANAGER – CONSUMER PRODUCTS N.A.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Business Development: <ul> <li>Develop rolling 3-yr strategic plans for Categories managed, informed by consumer insight, industry trends, retail intel, competitive landscape, and technology innovations.</li> <li>Identify best in class partners (to include current and new partners) to support each strategy <p>-assessing and qualifying initial opportunities, prospecting leads, developing sales materials and presentations, and soliciting and securing business proposals from the candidates</p> </li> <li>Work with partners to create and implement strong “Go To Market” plans leading the end-to-end process from product creation to the launch to market</li> <li>Bring demonstrated analytical capability to the day to day management of revenue, category, licensees and contract negotiations. <p> </p> </li> </ul> </li> <li>Deal Negotiation: <ul> <li>Manage all levels of contractual negotiations from initial deal negotiation thru contract execution (including legal, creative & brand guidelines).</li> <li>Develop both conventional and unconventional business modeling scenarios to inform deal terms that serve both short-term & long-term growth objectives</li> <li>Develop solution-based resolve within complex contract scenarios</li> <li>Lead negotiations, in conjunction with global counterparts, in extending North America deals global / multi-territory</li> </ul> </li> <li>Communication: <ul> <li>Constant communication with Licensees to monitor, track and build the business</li> <li>As the business lead, act as the key liaison of information between the internal Senior Leadership team, Design & Development, Retail development, Finance, and Legal teams</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL BRING</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in Licensing (entertainment Licensing experience highly regarded) <ul> <li>Complex contract negotiation skills, evidence of strong selling skills with proven sales results</li> <li>Commercial Business Development expertise with demonstrated experience in ownership of partners plans, budgets and forecasting</li> <li>Exceptional understanding of brand positioning, retail segmentation, competitive landscape</li> <li>Strong presentation skills with exceptional persuasive, verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Strong time management, prioritization, planning and organizational skills</li> <li>Ability to collaborate and be a leader cross-functionally and at all levels of management </li> <li>Ability to readily shift priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Advanced analytical/Excel/PC skills</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
