Join Hasbro's team as an Analyst within the Global Trade Compliance Team and take a key role in our global operations! In this position, you will use your expertise in import and export compliance while collaborating to refine procedures throughout North America (NAM). You will address complex issues and drive ongoing improvements to ensure compliance, consistency, and cost efficiency.


As the primary contact for brokerage operations in the NAM region, you will apply your knowledge to resolve various issues. You will lead import processes and analyze data to provide recommendations for further improvement. Together we will also continue to improve awareness of Hasbro’s customs footprint, supporting smooth adherence to trade compliance regulations!

  • Act as a subject matter expert across Hasbro’s global operations, sharing regulatory updates and guidelines providing support insights and support for government audits or inquiries. 
  • Engage in cross-functional committees addressing trade compliance issues, involving Compliance/Legal, Logistics, Security, and Internal Audit departments.
  • Identify and resolve issues hindering customs clearance, including exams and customs holds.
  • Develop and provide training on import/export requirements and manage relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders; Monitoring and assessing customs broker performance using Key Performance Metrics and taking part in quarterly reviews.
  • Partner with global Hasbro markets to ensure compliance with export laws and regulations.
  • Provide proper tariff classification and country of origin determinations to relevant partners.
  • Specialize in complex customs areas such as Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Anti-Dumping/Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD), FDA, PGAs, etc.
  • Coordinate and communicate on customs exams, inspections, and holds.
  • Attend trade compliance training programs and prioritize resolutions that reduce risk and enhance the efficient flow of goods.
  • Carry out root cause examination to refine processes and boost data accuracy.
  • Contribute to our team's yearly goals and assist with strategic projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, ensuring compliance, and advancing cost reduction efforts.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high compliance and on-time performance (OTP) metrics.
  • Assist with compliance reporting, analysis, and metrics reporting, seeking opportunities to improve accuracy, standardize processes and maintain key performance indicators.
  • Conduct self-audits to align activities with corporate guidelines and assess import/export compliance status.
  • Identify, pursue, and document cost-saving or operational improvement opportunities and initiatives.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or Licensed Customs Brokerage certification.
  • 2-4 years of experience in trade compliance and/or international logistics.
  • Proven understanding of U.S. Customs regulations.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel.
  • Practical experience with SAP.
  • Ability to interpret and strategically apply government regulations to global business scenarios.
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work optimally in a diverse team environment with minimal direction.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities for identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to acquire new skills and conduct independent research.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of customs research tools like CROSS and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).

The base salary range for this position is $59,500.00 to $89,200.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
