Skeleton Key is a game development studio and division of Wizards of the Coast. We are a group of industry veterans who are guided by the belief that empowering our teams and providing the necessary time, tools, and support we can foster a creative culture where everyone can do their best work.
Our studio is located in Austin, TX, and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior Outsource Producer to join us and bring our first AAA game to life. This role will be based out of Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Production Director you will build and maintain efficient, productive and reliable relationships with our external partners to ensure external dependencies are delivered timely, within budget, and at quality. You will be responsible for the development and delivery process for external studios/partners, leading the effort to deliver AAA features and content for our game, as well as tracking and reporting the progress of external partners development efforts.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, managing communication, expectations, and delivery.
- Drive planning and execution for outsourced development, including scheduling, budgeting, and scope management.
- Partner with internal teams to define requirements, priorities, and deliverables for external work.
- Source, onboard, and manage external vendors and co-development partners to support project needs.
- Establish and maintain pipelines, workflows, and best practices for external development and asset tracking.
- Track progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery, quality, or timelines.
- Collaborate with Production, Leads, and Directors to ensure alignment with project goals, vision, and quality standards.
- Report regularly to studio leadership on external development progress, budgets, risks, and partner performance.
What you'll bring:
- Strong understanding of AAA game development pipelines, particularly art, asset creation, and world-building workflows.
- Experience managing external vendors or co-development teams across multiple time zones.
- Proven experience with scheduling, budgeting, asset tracking, and delivery management.
- Proficiency with production and version control tools such as JIRA and Perforce.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.
- Ability to identify risks, solve problems proactively, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- 5+ years of professional experience in production, outsourcing, or a related role within game development.

The base salary range for this position is $126,600.00 to $224,400.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
