As a key member of our Walmart Hasbro lead team, you will manage and coordinate all reporting,  insights, and analytics to drive volume, profit and share growth. You will work internally and externally with multiple critical stakeholders to deliver overall Walmart Team analytical needs. You will also manage one direct report, a Business Analyst, who will support you in overall Walmart Team analytical needs. 

 

A Day In The Life:
Under the general direction of the team leader/Vice President:
Financials 
•    Develop and manage processes to aggregate quantitative and qualitative data from category leads for quarterly account and internal business reviews.
•    Topline analysis and validation of retail (point of sale) and shipment (revenue) plans vs. performance and vs. team objectives.
•    Coordinate Internal Business reviews including the Commercial Planning process by providing all historical data, analytical tools, and support for presentation to senior management
•    Maintain accurate historical data and analytics to support sound financial decisions.
Consumer Insights / Analytics 
•    Work internally and externally to ensure the Walmart Team has the suite of reports and analytics needed to effectively run and grow the business. 
•    Analyze customer and consumer data and research to identify trends, key indicators, patterns, and insights. 
•    Combine multiple data sets, determining the best approach and variables, drilling to the root cause through analysis and business knowledge.
•    Provide guidance and recommendations to Sales and Replenishment teams on patterns and relationships in data, along with recommendations and opportunities for revenue growth, new ideas, and creative solutions.  
•    Learn about the needs of our customer and provide analytical solutions to solve business issues. 
•    Identify and validate opportunities within the business or a given category, market or division using category roles, competitive pricing, elasticity reports, market data and many other sources.
•    Work closely with our internal Category Management & Global Insights teams to help create a seamless analytics / insights first approach to managing the business and align on WMT specific and US retail trends. 
•    Communicate analysis using comprehensive, easy to digest methods that will translate into impactful and actionable reports.

Reporting
•    Oversee Reporting Analyst who will lead all weekly key reporting, including Business Plans, Scorecards, Daily POS reports, etc.
•    Team expert on the macro and micro factors influencing the development and uses of key reporting and planning documents and processes.
•    Responsible for defining KPI’s, reviewing all data sources to create and pull all data into functional dashboards in partnership with Reporting Analyst 

 

What You'll Bring:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
•    3-5 years of progressive, relevant business experience 
•    Proven ability to translate business challenges, questions, and user needs into analysis design and translate data into insights and recommendations
•    Display competence in automating processes and creating efficiencies in reporting, business planning & execution
•    Demonstrated aptitude for creatively solving problems in a fast paced and high intensity environment
•    Experience extracting data from retail POS systems e.g. MerchIQ, Retail Link, Vendor Central
•    WMT specific, Retail Link experience a plus 

Critical Skills:
•    Excellent technical skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, VBA, and Power BI 
•    Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints, with timely completion and delivering quality work. 
•    Self-starter, ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations 
•    Proactive; need to look ahead and anticipate what’s coming 
•    Deep intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills, analytical mindset
•    Storyteller; outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally and with the customer.
•    Focus on process improvement, continuously seeking opportunities to increase efficiency
