Manager, Global Brand Development & Product Strategy 

 

Ready to shape the future of iconic brands at scale? We’re looking for a strategic, future-focused Brand Manager to lead global brand and product strategy while driving strong U.S. market execution. 

 

This role is ideal for a brand leader who thrives at the intersection of consumer insight, product innovation, and commercial performance. You’ll guide portfolio and franchise strategy, partner cross-functionally, and ensure ideas translate into products and experiences that win in market.

This position will be onsite Tuesday –Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI. Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA.

 

A Day in the Life as a Brand Manager:

You’ll define and deliver global brand and product strategies, partnering closely with product, insights, and commercial teams. Day to day, you’ll: 

  • Lead the development and evolution of global brand, franchise, and product strategies to drive long-term growth and relevance. 

  • Own product portfolio and line planning across categories and platforms, from early concept through launch. 

  • Use consumer, category, cultural, and competitive insights to identify whitespace opportunities and inform innovation pipelines. 

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (product development, insights, design, engineering, finance, legal) to guide ideas from concept to execution. 

  • Shape go-to-market direction by aligning product intent, positioning, and storytelling across regions. 

  • Lead U.S. market execution in partnership with Sales and Commercial teams, including line planning, forecasting, sell-in readiness, and portfolio optimization by customer and channel. 

  • Translate global strategies into strong U.S. assortments that drive profitable growth and win at retail. 

  • Monitor POS, shipment, and market performance to inform in-year adjustments and future planning. 

  • Serve as a clear voice of the market, elevating consumer needs, channel dynamics, and emerging trends to global teams. 

  • Guide strategic partnerships and platform expansion opportunities, ensuring brand integrity and long-term value creation. 

  • Own internal systems, tools, and processes to ensure accuracy, alignment, and strong execution. 

  • Deliver clear, compelling storytelling through decks, frameworks, and presentations that align and influence stakeholders. 

Shape 

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in brand, product, franchise, or commercial strategy within consumer products, entertainment, or a related field. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Strategy, or a related discipline; MBA preferred. 

  • Strong product and portfolio strategy mindset, with experience guiding products from insight to in-market execution. 

  • Deep curiosity and a growth mindset—you ask smart questions, challenge assumptions, and actively seek better ways of working. 

  • Comfort working with data, insights, and financials—able to translate complexity into clear strategic direction. 

  • Comfort experimenting with and applying AI-powered tools to enhance analysis, forecasting, productivity, and strategic problem-solving. 

  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience with forecasting, line planning, pricing, or sales collaboration. 

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead through clarity rather than hierarchy. 

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to present complex ideas in a compelling way. 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. 

  • Bonus: experience with licensing, partnerships, or multi-platform brand ecosystems.

The base salary range for this position is $104,800.00 to $157,200.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
