About the Role

2026 Trade Compliance Internship/Co-op

As a Trade Compliance Co-op, you will gain exposure to a dynamic business environment where you will apply classroom knowledge to real-world supply chain scenarios with a focus on customs regulations and global trade compliance. This experience will expand your understanding of the end-to-end global supply chain within a consumer products organization.

The Global Logistics Department operates within an extensive network of internal teams and external partners supporting multiple functional areas. In this role, you will actively collaborate and coordinate with transportation providers (domestic and international), customs brokers, vendors, booking agents, affiliate markets, and global warehouse partners to support compliant and efficient cross-border operations.

The Internship Experience

Hasbro’s Summer Internship Program offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a global play and entertainment company operates- paired with the opportunity to make a real impact.

Interns are fully embedded on their teams and trusted to own meaningful business projects aligned to team priorities. Throughout the summer, you’ll contribute to work that matters while also being part of a broader global intern cohort, gaining exposure to professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and leadership engagement designed to support your growth and learning.

  • Maintain export compliance tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet) and prepare Shipper’s Letters of Instruction (SLIs) to support Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings.

  • Contribute to internal compliance activities, including quarterly Importer Self-Assessment (ISA) entry testing, LATAM post-entry audit support, and restricted party screening processes.

  • Analyze and track global duty spend and IEEPA-related tariffs, supporting monitoring and mitigation efforts.

  • Collaborate with Hasbro brand teams, global commercial markets, and customs brokers to help ensure adherence to Hasbro trade compliance policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring (Required qualifications/skills/competencies):

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking undergraduate program in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, International Business, or a related field, with at least one academic term remaining after May 2026.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, particularly when working with product data, classification research, and compliance documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., data organization, pivot tables, lookups), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation and tracking tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and external partners such as customs brokers and transportation providers.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and knowing when to escalate questions.

  • Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to ask thoughtful questions to deepen trade compliance knowledge.

  • Growing confidence in taking ownership of assigned projects and driving tasks through completion with appropriate oversight.

  • Available to work in a hybrid format, including three (3) full-time in-office days per week at the Pawtucket, RI location for the duration of the co-op.

  • Authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

  • Candidates are responsible for securing their own housing and transportation (free parking available; shuttle service provided to/from the Attleboro, MA commuter rail station).

  • Exposure to ERP systems, compliance tracking tools (e.g., Smartsheet), or trade management systems.
