This leader will architect the full spectrum of learning and career development—ranging from onboarding and early career pathways to people manager development and senior leadership programs. They will ensure that learning is deeply integrated with our talent strategy, performance processes, and belonging efforts at each career stage.

 

Effective from the date that Hasbro opens it's new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday - Thursday at Hasbro's new HQ location in Boston, MA.  In the interim this position will be onsite Tuesday - Thursday at Hasbro's HQ in Pawtucket, RI.

 

A day in the life of a Director of Learning & Career Development:

  • Design & Execute a Learning Strategy: Evolve our company-wide learning and build on our career development roadmap that supports growth, engagement, and capability building.
  • Partner with our Leadership and People Mangers to assess our current state of learning through needs assessment, stay interviews and comprehensive review of data to drive a learning environment that supports our Playing to Win Strategy.
  • Develop Signature Programs: Build high-quality learning experiences for employees at all levels—including onboarding, early career, people leader development, and high-potential talent programs.
  • Enable Career Growth: Establish career pathing, internal mobility programs, and learning journeys that help employees envision and achieve their next steps.
  • Integrate with Culture & Inclusion: Collaborate with Executive Leadership, People Managers, Employee and HR cross functional teams to co-create inclusive learning that reinforces belonging, psychological safety, and cultural fluency.
  • Measure & Communicate Impact: Use data and storytelling to show how learning drives business outcomes—retention, performance, and engagement.
  • Inspire & Influence: Lead a small, agile L&D team and partner with cross-functional leaders to build a shared learning culture.

 

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in learning & development, talent management, or leadership development—ideally in toys and gaming, or lively and creative environments.
  • A track record of building and scaling successful learning programs that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong instructional design and learning technology acumen, including blended learning, learning platforms, and AI-enhanced tools.
  • A strategic approach and hands-on leadership style—able to think big and execute quickly.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed setting and influence senior leaders.
  • Data fluency—able to define success metrics, assess return on investment, and adapt based on insights.
  • Bonus: coaching certification, experience with career pathing, early career strategy, or manager enablement.

The base salary range for this position is $147,600.00 to $221,400.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
