Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc., and the world's largest publisher of adventure games, including Magic: The Gathering® Trading Card Game and Dungeons & Dragons® Roleplaying Games has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Commercial Manager – Latin America will drive the strategic planning and direction for the Wizards of the Coast Latin America business in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Community Management, Organized Play, Customer Service and Retail Experience. Outside of the company, the Commercial Manager will lead top-to-top relationships with key Wizards of the Coast’s Distribution, Marketing and Customer Service partners. The individual in this role will work out of Hasbro’s San Paolo, Brazil office.

Primary purpose / Intent of the role:

• Deliver/exceed annual budget targets for revenue, profit and Organized Play metrics for WotC brands.
• Drive sales through the establishment / management of a strong local distribution network focused on the fast and efficient distribution of products to retail locations.
• Drive sustainable long-term brand and business growth through the promotion of Wizards in store Organized Play model.
• Work with the Corporate Retail Experience and Organized Play teams to refine the local execution of Wizards Organized Play programs.
• Identify consumer marketing opportunities and manage the tactical execution of consumer marketing strategies.
• Work with corporate customer/retailer service teams to identify opportunities for strategy and tactical improvements.
• Establish the local alignment of Sales, Marketing, Community Management, Organized Play, Customer Service, and Retail Experience initiatives behind WotC Global Strategy and Processes.
• Strongly advocate for optimal resources/investment in Latin America to drive sustainable long-term brand revenue and profitability
• Leverage Latin America territory knowledge to contribute to strategy development and execution planning.
• Establish and manage relationships with top leadership in external distribution and marketing partnerships.

Major Accountabilities

• Deliver/exceed annual budget targets for revenue, profit and Organized Play metrics for WotC brands.
• Create yearly budgets and monthly forecasts for revenue and play metric growth.
• Identify key distribution partners and establish distribution network that can support growth targets while providing maximum value to retailers.
• Directly manage distribution partners in country.
• Collaborate with Renton, WA Retail Experience Team to ensure that retail locations have the best tools available to support running first class in store events.
• Lead the creation of an Organized Play, Kit Deployment Plan that will allow for the efficient delivery of support materials to stores in Latin America.
• Drive sustainable long-term brand and business growth through the promotion of Wizards in store Organized Play model.
• Visit key retail partners in market to determine how Wizards Organized Play programs are being run.
• Understand and propose recommendations to overcome local barriers to the successful running of Organized Play.
• Provide management in Renton, WA with an ongoing view of retailer heath in Latin America.
• Work with Renton, WA Trade Marketing Team to ensure we provide Latin America stores with the tools and localized support necessary to run the highest quality events.
• Create a yearly road map for local WPN web site content, and devise a plan to execute on this road map.
• Create and execute local consumer marketing campaigns focused on co-promotion of physical and digital games.
• Collaborate with Magic Brand team to ensure the successful consumer launch of Digital Games in Latin America.
• Work with retail stores to ensure the integration of digital and physical play environments.
• Work with Magic Brand team to track adoption and downloads for new digital offerings in Latin America
• Ensure localized consumer-facing brand websites meet our translation quality standards.
• Leverage Latin America territory knowledge to contribute to strategy development and execution planning.
• Educate Renton, WA based team on the specific cultural, legal, environmental, and economic challenges that effect Wizards’ business in Latin America.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Training:

Required:

• Bachelor degree from a four-year college required (Specialization in International Business or Marketing strongly preferred.)

Highly Desired:

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Knowledge of Forecast tools
• Strong analytical and financial acumen

Prior Related Experience:

Required:

• Minimum of 5 years in sales or marketing role
• In-depth knowledge of Latin America business practices with a focus on Brazil and Mexico
• Strong planning and organizational skills

Highly Desired:

• Hobby channel gaming experience. Paper based or digital
• P&L management understanding (financial/business acumen)
• Familiarity with Wizards products a huge plus – particularly Magic: the Gathering.
• Ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities under tight project deadlines

Preferred:

• Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish (both written and spoken)
• Strong knowledge of branded play marketing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Travel Requirements:

• 25% to 30% travel. Regional markets and Wizards of the Coast Headquarters in Renton, WA

Physical Requirements:

• Office environment, able to work on computer or phone for long periods of time.

• Must be able to drive.
