Position Summary:

Lead annual global franchise development, planning and activation to deliver against the global strategy and vision for TRANSFORMERS within the global market today. In this instrumental and high-profile activation role, you will lead and influence cross-functional internal and external teams across the eOne/Hasbro Blueprint to plan, support and execute cohesive and impactful franchise initiatives to grow the TRANSFORMERS Kid segment across key categories and regions globally. This role reports to the Director of Global Brand Strategy & Management, and supports the VP to activate against the global franchise vision and corresponding action plan that they set.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with leaders to develop and execute annual franchise plans and activations based on key franchise strategies, consumer insights and content strategies; focus on both near- and long-term activations to ensure successful multi-year engagement and growth for the franchise across the Blueprint
  • Ensure brand identity, tone of voice and global brand positioning is adhered to across assigned audience segment(s) and oversee creation of all brand assets with a keen lens on regional needs and consumer/category insights
  • Partner with regional entertainment and toy marketing teams to understand business needs, retailer trends and challenges, share best practices, identify growth opportunities and provide strategic guidance on localization of content and marketing plans
  • Write creative briefs and work with Creative teams to create toolkits, presentation decks, trade ads and other assets that are impactful and elevated
  • Work closely with teams to deliver content and entertainment that drives the Blueprint and commercial opportunity, globally; manage schedules and processes to ensure storytelling fully delivers franchise and commercial requirements
  • Partner and regularly communicate with relevant teams to drive development and delivery of on-brand programs and assets. Teams include but are not limited to: YouTube, Social, Digital Gaming, Location-Based Entertainment, Publishing, Consumer Products, Content Sales, PR, Promotions, Entertainment Brand Marketing, Legal and Finance
  • Lead brand tracking, industry and consumer research initiatives in partnership with global insights team to ensure the latest data and insights are in hand and helping to drive strategy and planning against your brand.


Key Competencies/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communication, Advertising or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience Required specifically in Brand Strategy / Development / Management within Entertainment, preferably on a significant action-driven global franchise and across multiple audience segments
  • Kids Entertainment experience required
  • Excellent project management skills, highly proactive, able to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working with international teams, possessing a thorough understanding of global market trends and awareness of the nuances of each territory
  • Excellent rapport builder able to develop strong stakeholder relationships at all levels
  • Driver of complex and integrated projects that include a number of cross-functional teams
  • First-rate presentation skills – able to build and create strong and concise stories through both verbal and written presentation; a top-notch storyteller
  • Highly resourceful, tenacious and able to work autonomously
  • First-hand experience leveraging digital insights and key trends across platforms, such as YouTube, to maximize a high profile brand in unique ways via social platforms
  • Solid consumer-centric mindset and commercial acumen, possessing demonstrated ability to leverage and interpret data, both  quantitative and qualitative, to influence decisions and brand strategy
  • Strong problem solver – able to deal with issues in a swift and professional way; elevating when necessary
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
