This enables us to deliver results in all aspects of our business.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>As the Manager, Cost Engineering you will drive accurate internal cost estimates of our Hasbro Dolls line and supporting playsets, working with the on-site Designers, Engineers and Project Managers in addition to Engineers and Cost Analysts at our Hasbro Far East Office. Develop, implement and teach innovative methods and solutions to meet product target goals. Recommend and drive the use of and any potential enhancements to the standardized cost engineering tools and documentation. Take a lead in cost engineering-related meetings and act as the Product Cost Lead for all assigned development efforts. Coach, train and direct interns/temps and Associate/Cost Engineers - this may include direct reports.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>A day in the life as a Manager, Cost Engineer</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Estimate and maintain accurate and detailed product, packaging and tooling &lsquo;Should Cost&rsquo; to help guide the product development efforts.</li> <li>Understand manufacturing and industrial engineering techniques to propose cost saving solutions to team and business partners.</li> <li>Anticipate, analyze, resolve and escalate project cost issues throughout the development team, inclusive of our Hasbro Far East partners.</li> <li>Review vendor quotes for accuracy, prepare material and labor variance analysis, and help guide cost negotiations with manufacturing vendors.</li> <li>Mentor and provide guidance/technical direction for direct reports, inclusive of completing performance reviews and establishing individual objectives/ development plans.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to create &lsquo;Should Cost&rsquo; analysis for product concepts upon receipt of 2D sketch or 3D CAD (SolidWorks) files as design and engineering specifications.</li> <li>Ability to scrutinize manufacturing vendor quotations to assess accuracy, interpret quality, and identify all product cost savings opportunities.</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate and/or translate technical information.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects and shifting priorities.</li> <li>Experience working for a manufacturing/CPG company.</li> <li>Excellent leadership and team building/management skills.&nbsp; Expertise managing, coaching and mentoring direct reports</li> <li>Soft goods or apparel experience a plus.</li> <li>B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent); Master Degree preferred.</li> <li>10+ years of Mechanical or Industrial Engineering/ Costing experience required.</li> </ul>
