This enables us to deliver results in all aspects of our business.</span></span></p> <p><strong>Project Engineer Co-op – July 2019</strong><br /> Hasbro is currently recruiting enthusiastic, technically curious & creative engineering students to assist Engineers & Project Managers in the development of our products. You will learn how a toy is developed from initial concept in the U.S. to production overseas. Depending on education level, increasing experience & demonstrated ability, there will be opportunities to assume independent project &/or product design responsibility.</p> <p><br /> We are looking for Mechanical Engineer, Chemical/Material Science Engineer, or Industrial Engineer Co-ops to work in Burbank, CA supporting our Girl/Action Licensed brands like Disney Princess and Frozen, and Power Rangers.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with Development teams to ensure quality, cost and schedule adherence.</li> <li>Assist Engineers during concept development, prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing debug</li> <li>Provide technical advice and feasibility assessment for new product concepts</li> <li>Communicate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Design, Project Management, Packaging, Quality, Legal, and Hasbro Far East Engineers) on product content issues throughout the entire development process.</li> <li>Create product specification packages (using Excel, Word and our web-based product development system) to define product content and functionality, including cost and delivery targets</li> <li>Participate in cost review and reduction efforts to meet business objectives</li> <li>Part and mechanism creation with SolidWorks may be available for candidates with knowledge of this CAD software (depending on business need).</li> <li>Ability to assist with Electronics (hardware & software) depending on candidates knowledge of electrical theory and programming experience.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, 2018 graduates are not eligible for our Co-op program</li> <li>Must be available to work full-time as a co-op from June 10 to December 6, 2019</li> <li>Co-op assignment can be either a mandatory or optional requirement for graduation</li> </ul> <p><br /> <strong>Preference will be given to candidates with:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Completion of at least one year of study towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering</li> <li>Project work or co-op experience in product design engineering, mechanism design, some electrical engineering</li> <li>Excellent communication & interpersonal effectiveness skills</li> <li>Strong time/project management skills & the desire to build/expand competency in this area</li> <li>Intermediate-level skills in MS Excel, Word & Outlook & web-based applications</li> </ul> <p> <br /> Candidates are responsible for their own housing & transportation (FREE Parking).  The Burbank, CA office is located near the Bob Hope Airport.  Interviews will be offered in March 2019 via on campus interviews, SKYPE or on site in Burbank, CA.</p>
