We are seeking to add a Director Global Planning to play an integral role in our Global Planning Organization! This role is responsible for supporting the Plan Strategy, and thus plans, develops and implements organization policies, goals, and objectives in accordance with the both the Supply Chain and Plan Strategy through his/her team. This role will take the lead facilitating the Sales & Operations Planning & Execution process weekly, with the Hasbro business units to improve customer service, profitability, plant and supply chain optimization, inventory turnover, and working capital. The Global Planning Director will lead their team in implementing and sustaining the new processes developed through the End to End (E2E) Planning transformation. The transformation will be focused on creating a representative network model that seamlessly integrates the enterprise environment, delivering weekly production plans for the brand categories’ respective SKU product portfolio, extending out through the 24-month horizon, powered with analytical capabilities and a financial framework to enable the total delivered cost for the operational plan, aligning volume and mix with capacity and capability. This role reports to the SVP, Planning, Process and Governance.

 

A day in the life of a Director Global Planning:

 

  • Drive appropriate scenario analysis and KPI metrics performance, to ensure unconstrained demand is met through an optimal supply plan that maximizes capacity utilization and revenue opportunities while trying to minimize the risk of obsolescence through inventory transfers where possible. Achieve and maintain a 95%+ service level of supply to demand for managed brands.  Drive the SLA reviews with business units, communicate and liaison actions/ requirements across supply chain.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve supply challenges impacting demand cross functionally and globally.
  • Facilitate the S&OE process and timely delivery of inputs into the SMR/IBP process.  Work with Project Management, Engineering, GCIO, Demand Planning, Logistics, Global Supply, and other functions to proactively address potential issues that may negatively impact Hasbro’s ability to meet its customer’s expectations including the initiation and evaluation of tooling and/or additional capacity/labor etc.
  • Ensure that the team is adhering to the process playbook to support inventory policy and supply network planning master data, business rules and optimization.
  • Nurture, manage, and develop direct reports according to Hasbro guidelines/Success Factors while maintaining oversight of the team’s brands and items to ensure planning accuracy and process adherence.
  • Ensure that supply plans leverage inventory policy, maintaining optimum inventory health and reducing risk of excess and obsolete stock.
  • Support E2E planning transformation with development and delivery of supply network planning, encouraging the use of the appropriate techniques such as scenario planning & predictive analytics, to determine effective production plans responsive to changing demand, capable of planning/replanning daily.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree (required). (MBA desirable).
  • Preferred fields include Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Operations, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or Business Management or related discipline and 7-12 years of planning/ business process/ industrial experience in areas of Planning, Logistics and/or SC Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Network Planning, and Business Management.
  • APICs-CPIM/CSCP certifications desirable.
  • Lean/Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, is preferred along with a proven track record of continuous improvement accomplishments.
  • Managerial/team leader experience of 7 years or more.
  • Consumer goods experience not required but highly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Demand, Inventory, Scenario and Supply Network Planning processes.
  • Functional knowledge of manufacturing and distribution operations – including but not limited to the following functions: planning/forecasting, supply management, procurement, sales and operations planning, new product introduction, transition management, production scheduling, quality control, inventory management, supply chain, warehouse, and distribution.
  • Strong skills and experience with analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues and identifying opportunities.
  • Demonstrated organizational awareness and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates.
  • Must have well developed business acumen and appreciation of supply and demand strategies.
  • Must have strategic thinking, collaboration, and change management capabilities, as well as a vision for developing and leading for Continuous Improvement.
  • Demonstrated capability in making timely, difficult decisions to ensure critical business needs and timelines are met.
  • Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity with executive presentation experience, comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership, lead, facilitate and manage change effectively.
  • Knows how the business works and is knowledgeable of policies/practices, trends and information affecting the business planned.
  • Advanced Excel and expertise in SAP IBP specifically.
  • Highly developed communication capabilities, written and oral, with the ability to build and lead teams for collaboration on challenges and solutions, a presentation style that can influence change in peer groups and senior leadership alike.
  • Strategic Agility to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; has broad knowledge and perspective; is future oriented; can articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and tactical plans to deliver.
  • Leadership ability to deliver short term objectives while designing the future state; understands and delivers all commitments to all stakeholders; comfortable at all levels & types of business constituents; lives according to and with actions representing the principles of the organization.
  • E2E mindset to facilitate cross functional problem solving and can effectively cope with change; can decide and act with having total picture and can handle risk and uncertainty.
  • Able to manage with ambiguity and autonomy.
  • Extremely well organized with strong time-management skills.
