2026 Summer Product Design Internship
We are currently recruiting fun, creative, innovative designers to help us create new and exciting play experiences. We are looking for team members who are fearless with their ideas and are looking to develop their talents. As a Hasbro Design Intern, you will work in all aspects of our product development process including ideation, proof of concept, design specs, costing and pre-production review while having the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s top creative minds!
Interact with various staff members within graphics, branding and packaging designers, digital play designers, model makers and other artists. Also collaborate with various cross functional team members in Marketing, Engineering and Consumer Insights.
The Internship Experience
Hasbro’s Summer Internship Program offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a global play and entertainment company operates- paired with the opportunity to make a real impact.
Interns are fully embedded on their teams and trusted to own meaningful business projects aligned to team priorities. Throughout the summer, you’ll contribute to work that matters while also being part of a broader global intern cohort, gaining exposure to professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and leadership engagement designed to support your growth and learning.
What You Will do as a Product Design Intern:
- Visualize new concepts via sketching, digital prototyping, and physical model making.
- Research current trends in upcoming entertainment, play and toy categories, crafting mood boards to infuse new inspiration into the design process.
- Work Cross-Functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Branding and Packaging to build toy products from concept to shelf.
- Prepare for and help deliver internal presentations for new product concepts.
- Build product specifications (using Adobe illustrator and Photoshop) to define product details for development.
- Evaluating models and production samples to ensure quality and experience are consistent with internal vision and true to brand standards.
What You Will Bring (Required qaulifications/skills/competencies):
- Currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking program pursuing an undergraduate degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent major with at least one quarter or semester left after May 2026.
- Available to work full-time hours in-person at our Hasbro Far East office location in Hong Kong for the entire duration of the internship.
- Completion of at least one year of study within an undergraduate design program (Product, Toy, or Industrial Design)
- Strong skills in sketching and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Great communication & interpersonal efficiency skills
- Passion for collaboration, play and consumer product development
- A GREAT love of toys and FUN!
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience with CAD Model building, physical fabrication and video editing skills are all a plus, but not required.
- By the end of the program, interns leave with tangible accomplishments, a clear understanding of how their work creates value, and meaningful exposure to what a full-time, entry-level role at Hasbro could look like, positioning them well for potential future opportunities.
