Summer 2026 Project Engineer Intern

Hasbro is seeking enthusiastic, curious, and creative Project Management Interns to support brand teams such as NERF, My Little Pony, Hasbro Gaming, and Play-Doh. Interns will help deliver low-complexity projects end‑to‑end by supporting project planning, timelines, risk management, and cross‑functional coordination.

The Internship Experience 

Hasbro’s Summer Internship Program offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a global play and entertainment company operates- paired with the opportunity to make a real impact.   

Interns are fully embedded on their teams and trusted to own meaningful business projects aligned to team priorities. Throughout the summer, you’ll contribute to work that matters while also being part of a broader global intern cohort, gaining exposure to professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and leadership engagement designed to support your growth and learning.  

  • Support end‑to‑end product development from an engineering perspective, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met through technical execution.
  •  Assist engineers with concept development, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing support
  • Evaluate new product ideas and provide technical feasibility input
  • Coordinate with global partners across Engineering, Design, Packaging, Quality, and Legal on technical matters
  • Identify technical risks, support issue resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Create and maintain product specifications, cost targets, and delivery requirements under engineering guidance
  • Support cost reviews, value engineering, and resource utilization from a technical standpoint
  • Contribute to CAD part or mechanism design (SolidWorks) where applicable

 

Internship Requirements

Education

  • Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline

Technical Foundation

  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Exposure to hard‑goods or consumer product development concepts through coursework, projects, or internships
  • Introductory knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding, assembly, basic tooling concepts) from an engineering perspective
  • Basic understanding of DFM concepts and manufacturing constraints

Design & Tools

  • Hands‑on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred; other 3D CAD acceptable)
  • Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings and assemblies
  • Familiarity with BOM structure and part breakdowns from academic or project work
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Comfortable working with cross‑functional teams in a technical support role
  • Able to clearly communicate technical information and document findings
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive in following up on engineering tasks

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Interest in toy, consumer product, or mechanism‑driven product development
  • Strong interest in mechanical systems and mechanisms (e.g. gears, linkages, motors) through coursework or personal projects

 

Program Details

  • Summer Internship Program Dates: 
  • Start: Late June (target June 22)  
  • End: Late August (target August 21)  
  • Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)  
  • Location: Hong Kong
