VP Legal, Asia Pacific Thu Apr 25 02:00:00 CDT 2019 Hong Kong, Hong 533371600 9691 Corporate 1 Employee <p>Based in Hong Kong, reporting to the Senior Vice President - Global Legal, this Vice President will lead and develop the Asia-Pacific regional legal team as well as the legal team supporting Global Sourcing operations.  The Vice President will also provide support to legal Global Practice Groups including Compliance, Government Affairs, Intellectual Property, Employment and Data Privacy.</p> <p> </p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Participate as a member of the regional commercial leadership team as well as a member of the Global Sourcing leadership team to provide legal, strategic and commercial support and advice.</li> <li>Manage and develop all direct reports in the legal teams based in Hong Kong and Shanghai and provide support to other members of the Global Legal team based in the region (Employment/Compliance and IP specialists).</li> <li>Provide general corporate and commercial legal support to all regional operating units, including advising on, reviewing and drafting a wide range of legal documents such as trading terms, distribution contracts, licences, R&D contracts, vendor, tooling, procurement and property agreements; managing new business start-ups, company formations and corporate reorganisations.</li> <li>Liaise with legal Global Practice Groups and key support functions such as HR, Finance, Quality Assurance, Government & Regulatory Affairs, Internal Audit and Corporate Tax, to oversee or support employment and compliance matters; litigation and claims management/dispute resolution; product safety/compliance; and assist with tax/customs inquiries and audits.</li> <li>Responsible for monitoring legal risk and ensuring those risks are appropriately reported and mitigated and appropriate controls implemented and enforced.</li> <li>Responsible for implementation of legal compliance controls and in particular working with the International Compliance Function in areas of Antitrust, Code of Conduct, FCPA and anti-bribery compliance and training.</li> <li>Develop and manage a team of lawyers and support staff and evaluate the need for further resource.
