The Internship Experience
Hasbro’s Summer Internship Program offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a global play and entertainment company operates — paired with the opportunity to make a real impact.
Interns are fully embedded on their teams and trusted to own meaningful business projects aligned to team priorities. Throughout the summer, you’ll contribute to work that matters while also being part of a broader global intern cohort, gaining exposure to professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and leadership engagement designed to support your growth and learning.

What You’ll Do as a Game Design Intern:
-
Brainstorm themes, stories, encounters, and discrete game design elements to drive narrative-based gameplay experiences for the world's greatest roleplaying game.

Collaborate with Game Designers to develop, test, and refine design elements, then craft accurate, accessible game rules and reference materials.

Contribute to design documentation and research.

Write compelling, fun game content—such as magic items, monsters, and spells.

Participate as an active, creative member of a cross-functional team, contributing ideas in brainstorms, playtests, and meetings alongside artists, designers, editors, and producers.

Embrace surprises, ask questions freely, have fun, and of course play lots of games!

What You'll Bring:

Demonstrated talent for creative writing, storytelling, and narrative design.

Solid technical writing and editorial skills, including grammar, clarity, and accuracy.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Ability to adjust quickly, adapt to change, and collaborate in a lively creative environment.

Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.

Strong time/project management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.

Outstanding attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.

Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a motivation to learn.

A genuine love of games.

Preferred:

Familiarity with Dungeons & Dragons.

Experience creating TRPG content, rules systems, or worldbuilding material.

Nice to Have:

Highly creative, imaginative, and diligent writing style.

Systems thinker who enjoys building cohesive rules, worlds, and player experiences.

Collaborative attitude and comfort working with partners across teams.

Passion for gameplay, storytelling, and how players emotionally engage with games.

The hourly rate for this position is $44.00 to $50.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
