As the Key Account Manager, you will drive the vision and strategy for the Korea market, according to Hasbro targets, plans and principles. You will also be responsible for implementing commercial plans and effectively deploying resources with the respective distributor/s to achieve optimum revenue, profitability and market share.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop strong relations with distributor and direct retailer to build long term partnerships to drive indirect distribution of the retail universe and deliver the financial target.
- Lead the discussion with distributor and direct retailer and ensure they are in line with the overall sales strategy and budgets for recommendation and agreement.
- Partner with distributor and direct retailer leadership to ensure their teams have the skills and resources required and that they operate in a manner consistent with Hasbro values and priorities.
- In partnership with our key distributors and/or retail partners, proactively prepare and develop annual business planning for approval by regional management.
- Administer approved investment budget and track efficiency of spending and ensure performance-based usage of approved budget.
- Ensure development and implementation of customized sales plan and strategies for the achievement of Hasbro priorities and further growth.
- Review sales analysis and reports from distributor: understand key sell through patterns in store; provide feedback and suggest improvements to drive sell thru and business development opportunities.
- Identify and champion continuous improvement in new ways to better meet customer needs.
- Leverage full support of the wider business resources as appropriate to meet customer needs.
- Lead weekly business update and support Country Lead for bi-weekly regular Business Reviews.
- Supervise the preparation of forecast/sales plan on brand and product level for each specific customer and translate into sales.
- Attend product previews in conjunction with the team and with relevant customers.
- Partner with regional and local marketing to ensure full understanding and execution of the Brand strategies and monitor that brand plans are executed at retail and KPI’s are achieved in accordance with agreed strategy.
- Ensure appropriate quarterly performance conversations take place to effectively develop and retain talent to meet current and future business needs.
- Partner with direct report and counterpart to create team objectives and provide constructive feedback on performance on an on-going basis.
- Lead the team by example: ensuring effective communication, support and recognition is in place.
- Identify, recruit, retain and develop talent when/if needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- 8+ years senior sales experience with branded or lifestyle consumer products in multinational, matrixed organisations across multiple brands and high volume SKUs (FMCG or relevant Toy / Entertainment or Fashion company desirable).
- Previous sales experience across a broad channel portfolio including distributors and direct.
- Knowledge of various offline & online servicing models (outright / SOR / consignment / eCom enabler).
- Fluent in both Korean and English language (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate in a clear, persuasive that demonstrates high levels of EQ.
- In-depth understanding of the local retail landscape and knowledge of the key developments in a changing retail environment and how to maximise these.
Preferred Qualification & Skills:
- Experience building long term strategies and stretch goals with the motivation to effectively execute.
- Ability to think out of the box and be entrepreneurial to accelerate growth opportunities.
- Strong business and commercial acumen.
- Strong numeracy with the ability to analyse complex and sometimes incomplete data and make sound commercial decisions based on that analysis.
- Excellent influencing and reasoning skills, able to influence based on a factual and personal/emotional basis with ease.
- Ambitious, proactive, result-oriented, self-initiating, persistent and independent.
- Track record of being an inspiring leader and developing others.
