What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and customize localization tools to support both digital and tabletop projects.
  • Work closely with internal teams to enhance tools, processes, workflows, and filters for maximum efficiency.
  • Address technical challenges and resolve issues in localization systems across teams.
  • Anticipate, identify, and mitigate localization risks.
  • Oversee and lead complex data migration processes.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for all localization tools.
  • Provide guidance to teams on internationalization standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, producers, writers, QA, and localization vendors.
  • Conduct in-depth research on new tools and technologies to stay ahead in the field.


What You'll Bring:

  • A solid foundation in localization engineering, with 3–5 years of experience or strong technical skills from a related field.
  • Familiarity with scripting or coding (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash)—bonus points if you have automated tasks or built custom tools.
  • Deep familiarity with various CMS platforms.
  • Extensive experience with Localization Quality Assurance processes.
  • Proven experience with data migration, filter creation, APIs, and advanced localization tools (e.g., RWS WorldServer, XTM).
  • In-depth knowledge of translation memories and terminology management.
  • Expertise in automating testing tools and processes.
  • Strong understanding of, and practical experience with, localization and internationalization standards.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and improve processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Superior communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience localizing game content—tabletop or digital.
  • Knowledge of game engines (Unity, Unreal) or creative content workflows.
  • Passion for storytelling, world-building, or narrative content in games.

 

Additional Details:

Please note that this is a temporary assignment providing services to Wizards through an external staffing agency. If you are selected for this assignment, you will be employed by Eastridge as a W2 employee and will not be an employee of Wizards.

Compensation Range, Currency USD or CAD:

  • Starting: $40/hour
  • Ending: $61/hour

The hourly rate for this position is $101,800.00 to $152,600.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
