The YouTube Channel Manager will be responsible for the operation, and growth of several high-profile YouTube channels, representing key priority brands. They will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive YouTube strategy, focusing on long-term channel growth, audience engagement, and brand alignment. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with a deep understanding of the YouTube platform, with the ability to make data driven decisions to further grow our audiences. This role requires extensive experience in managing large-scale YouTube channels, a deep understanding of Hasbro brands, and a passion for content and audiences. The YouTube Channel Manager will be expected to conduct in-depth competitive analysis and leverage insights to refine the content and promotional strategies continuously, ensuring Hasbro's channels outperform market benchmarks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content and Programming and Optimisation: Develop and implement a comprehensive content programming strategy of YouTube channels, across multiple territories that closely aligns with both brand + audience needs. Ensuring high-quality video content and artwork align with brand strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Optimization & SEO: Oversee the optimization of titles, descriptions, metadata, tags, and thumbnails to maximize click-through rates, search engine optimization (SEO), and overall channel visibility.
  • Advanced Tool Utilization: Leverage advanced YouTube tools and emerging platform features to drive innovation and channel growth.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize YouTube Analytics, Dashboards, and third-party tools to monitor, analyse, and improve content performance, making data-driven decisions to adapt to market changes quickly.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Marketing, Product Development, and Brand Management, to align YouTube strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present detailed and contextualised reports on channel performance, growth strategies, and key insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on objectives
  • Competitive Strategy: Continuously monitor and analyse competitor channels and other market trends, using insights to refine Hasbro's channel management and creative strategies, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest YouTube trends, algorithms, and best practices.

 

Key Competencies:

  • 5+ Years of Proven Experience: Extensive experience managing large-scale YouTube channels, with a  strong understanding of YouTube's platform, algorithms, and best practices and a demonstrated ability to grow and maintain successful brand channels.
  • Advanced Technical Skills: Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other relevant tools; deep understanding of all YouTube features, including advanced analytics and Tubular Labs
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinker: Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset, capable of interpreting complex data sets and translating them into simple actionable growth strategies.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with team members, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive & Adaptable: Highly proactive, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, lead under pressure, and adapt quickly to changes in the digital landscape.
  • Multilingual Advantage: Proficiency in another language is preferred but not required, enhancing the ability to manage channels in multiple regions.
