A Day in the Life of a Production Coordinator:

 

The Production Coordinator schedules, prioritizes and coordinates the flow of work between departments in order to expedite the production of out of aisle toy and game displays and reworks for our retailers. The Coordinator collaborates closely with the sales, marketing and planning departments to settle the schedule and resolve requirements needed for production related activities. They also work closely with the production team to communicate priorities and establish staffing needs.

 

This role is on site at our Longueuil Distribution Center from Monday to Friday with the following schedule: 7:30AM to 4:00PM.

 

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, you will:

 

  • Prioritize and plan the production line
  • Maintain and update the production schedule and work orders
  • Revise schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability of products and resources
  • Participate in production-related meetings to establish timelines and priorities
  • Connect with the planning team to understand their constraints on production allocation
  • Communicate all relevant information to the Production Lead Hand
  • Use creativity and tact to tackle issues with time limitations
  • Support and advise the shipping department and order administration team with clear timelines on availability for produced items
  • Support management on process improvements and compile reports on the progress of work and critical metrics
  • Maintain inventory of resources required to complete production
  • Determine need to outsource any production-related work

 

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in a warehouse/distribution center environment
  • Post-secondary degree, such as a College Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Experience in ERP environment (WMS), an asset
  • Strong communication skills in English and French both written and spoken. English is required in order to plan production needs with the sales teams in Toronto.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong capacity for multitasking
  • Developed organizational skills
  • Capable of working under pressure and meet deadlines
