Working with amazing brands like Peppa Pig, Transformers, and My Little Pony, the Sr. Manager Retail Business Development will be responsible for accelerating the growth of our brands at Target and key specialty accounts in multiple consumer categories, increasing brand presence and retail sales. The role will be responsible for cultivating direct relationships with key buyers & key licensee partners plus building & executing compelling go-to-market plans that drive retail presence and expansion of product footprint and reach.

 

A day in the life as a Sr. Retail Development Manager for Hasbro Licensed Consumer Products:

  • Drive commercial growth across Target and Key Specialty accounts for the Hasbro Licensed Consumer Products organization
  • Forge influential and multi-level relationships with key retail decision makers across leading licensed categories
  • In partnership with licensees, drive 365 day listings of key brands and products across the store and online
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing actionable retail programs and retail marketing activations.
  • Lead and define priorities within the channel and core brands ((Peppa Pig, , My Little Pony, Transformers, Hasbro Gaming, Play-Doh, Nerf, D&D)., while testing new opportunities for retail business development.
  • Develop go to market plans and activate against key strategies to drive retail presence and expand product footprint and reach.
  • Develop and pitch innovative programs customized to Target and each specialty account, based on insights and aligned to retailer’s initiatives.
  • Craft and deliver tailored retail presentations to relevant buyers at key time periods and communicate consistently with retail partners on brand activity/performance to ensure continued retail support and to maximize in-store presence and placement.
  • Share retail initiatives and key information regularly with internal departments to ensure all groups are aligned on strategy and deployment.

 

Working relationships/key stakeholders:

  • Regular communication with Retailers and Key Licensees to monitor, track and build the business is a must.
  • Build best in class relationships with all key stake holders internally and externally.
  • As the account lead, collaborate and work with all key lines of business internally including but not limited to  Licensing Category Management, Finance, Global Franchise, Regional T&G sales teams, Product Development and Brand development

 

What you’ll bring:

  • 7 + years experience driving new business development across Target account
  • Degree level education (or equivalent), within business, commerce, marketing or sales related fields
  • A track record of driving commercial growth across multiple categories
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with sales and business development experience in a relevant Entertainment Company or Consumer Products/Licensing environment
  • You will be a confident and motivated self-starter with the passion for executing a plan.
  • Action orientated, self-motivated sales professional with demonstrable business acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders & projects within a retail buying environment      
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Clear, persuasive, verbal and written communication skills including active listening ability
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and passion for brand activation & retail
  • Positive thinking, high energy and excellent relationship building skills
  • A ‘team player’ attitude
  • Ability to navigates complex matrices & find solutions
  • Ideally with relevant and well-established networks and buyer relationships
