Job Description 

 

Invoke is looking for an Environment Artist expert in vegetation to join our team. Under the supervision of our lead environment artist, this person will produce high-quality, AAA assets of vegetation that will be our visual target. This environment artist will collaborate with artists, technical artists, leads and directors to establish workflows that will follow our technical guidelines.  

 

 

What you'll Do

 

  • Work closely with our environment lead and art director to push forward the visual quality of the vegetation on our project; 

  • Collaborate with material artists to create vegetation asset; 

  • Cooperate with our technical artist to elaborate the vegetation workflows that will follow our visual guidelines in order to have an optimize vegetation; 

  • Create and model naturalistic vegetation related to our world; 

  • Troubleshoot technical and artistic issues to maintain the performance and memory budget of the vegetation; 

  • Support the environment artist team by sharing your knowledge on vegetation’s creation in games. 

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

 

  • Minimum 4 years of experience developing AAA titles as a vegetation artist; 

  • An exceptional understanding of mood, lighting, composition, color, staging, detail, with a keen eye towards shape, structure, and silhouette; 

  • Excellent communication skills, great team-player; 

  • Good capacity to be flexible, proactive and great time management skills; 

  • Strong technical ability to maintain levels to stay in frame rate, memory and respect design; 

  • Proficiency using Maya, or equivalent software with good knowledge of Speedtree; 

  • Experience with Houdini and Unreal Engine 5, including PCG, is a plus; 

  • Excellent communication skills in french and english.
