Job Description

Invoke is looking for an experienced Senior Development Tester who will be responsible for testing game mechanics and features, including Code, Gameplay, Level Design, UI/UX and more, and reporting on the status of the game and its features to developers and the Development Tester Lead.

This person will work closely with developers to execute tasks as assigned by the Development Tester Lead, create and execute test plans and provide feedback to the team. This person will also assist in the creation of reports as well as accurately identify and report issues into the bug tracking database (JIRA), and re-test issues as they are resolved by developers.

What you'll do

·       Collaborate with the team to understand the overall game vision & design documentation

·       Identify bugs and assist in developing test plans for features

·       Follow up on functionality bugs found by internal and external teams, and assist in sorting, prioritizing, and assigning them the right developers internally

·       Work with others to fix features, suggest solutions to setbacks, and share knowledge

·       Meet with the development team to discuss progress and provide creative input

·       Build test gyms for the team

·       Create custom game versions, reproducing bugs to evaluate their risks

·       Write and maintain documentation, detailing bugs found, their sources and what information to provide to assist developers in resolving them

·       Contribute to coming up with ideas for automated tests & solutions to optimize the testing process

·       Assist with the analysis of test results.

What You’ll Bring

·       4-5+ years of experience in a development tester role

·       Knowledge of bug tracking software (e.g. Jira) and test management tools (e.g. TestRail)

·       Ideally Fluently Bilingual, both written and spoken

·       A diploma or degree in a video game-related program (or related training)

·       An understanding of test principles, methodologies and the development process

·       Initiative to push boundaries and an ambition to craft something outstanding;

·       Experience working with Confluence is a plus

·       Experience working with Unreal Editor is a plus

·       Experience in game/level design, animation or AI is a plus

·       Experience on a variety of platforms (PC, Xbox, PlayStation) is a plus

·       Modding experience is a plus

·       Excellent communication skills in French and English.
