Job Description


Invoke is looking for a senior environment Artist to join our team. As an Environment artist, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and immersive environments that captivate players and enhance their gaming experience.  You'll work closely with our lead environmenteartist, art director and game designers to ensure that the environments created are both visually appealing and optimized for performance.

 

What it's like to be a Senior Environment Artist at Invoke

 

  • Work closely with our lead environment artist and art director to create high-quality environments
  • Create architectural kits, environments and objects that will help you assemble both architectural and organic levels
  • Work with game designers to create effective design and innovative game spaces
  • Collaborate with the art team and our designers to create an immersive, compelling and realistic world
  • Solve technical and artistic problems
  • Work with our environment team leader and technical directors to develop the pipeline and maintain workflows.

 

Ideally, what you bring to the team  
 

  • Over 6 years' experience in the development of AAA titles
  • At least one AAA game delivered as senior environment artist
  • Exceptional understanding of mood, lighting, composition, color, staging and architecture, with a keen eye for form, structure and silhouette
  • Autonomous, mentor, excellent communication skills, strong team spirit and self-motivation
  • Strong technical ability to maintain levels of image frequency, memory and respect for design
  • Proficiency in Maya or equivalent software. Comfortable with Substance Painter and Photoshop. Experience with Substance Designer, Zbrush, Gaea and Houdini is a plus.
  • Experience working with Unreal is a plus.
  • Contribute to the growth of Junior Artists, leadership and inspiration within the team and across the studio.
  • Flexible, proactive and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to accept constructive feedback from our lead environment artist and art director
