Job Description 

 

Invoke is looking for a highly skilled Senior Texture Artist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a pillar and help establish the quality benchmark for textures and materials.  

 

What You’ll Do 

 

  • Work closely with the art direction to define the signature of our fantastic and magical textures and materials 

  • Collaborate with other departments to find solutions to all material needs and texture strategies  

  • Create, organize and maintain a library of high-quality materials 

  • Create and share guidelines and best practices on the use of materials 

  • Document workflows for creating textures and materials 

  • Accurately estimate the effort and time required to achieve the visual quality established by art direction 

  • Ensure that textures and materials meet performance standards 

  • Creation of Trim Sheets 

 

What You’ll Bring 

 

  • 7+ years’ experience developing high-quality materials for AAA titles 

  • Delivered at least 1 AAA and open-world game 

  • Expertise in Substance Designer, Substance Painter and other texture creation applications 

  • Expertise with modeling software (Maya, Blender, Zbrush, UV creation, etc.) 

  • Professional experience with Unreal is a plus 

  • Knowledge of the PBR environment  

  • Knowledge in optimization  

  • Experience as a generalist or modeler  

  • Interest in procedural texturing 

  • Contribute to the growth of junior artists, leadership and teamwork across departments   

  • Highly creative, collaborative and innovative spirit  

  • Initiative to push boundaries 

  • Excellent communications skills in French and English.
