We’re looking for a Console Certification Lead Tester to join our Publishing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the games industry and experience in leading certification testing for partners such as Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo consoles. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor in making sure our projects meet all requirements and are fully prepared for submission to the first parties for approval.
We’re looking for a Console Certification Lead Tester to join our Publishing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the games industry and experience in leading certification testing for partners such as Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo consoles. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor in making sure our projects meet all requirements and are fully prepared for submission to the first parties for approval.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the certification testing process for console games, ensuring compliance with platform holder requirements.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for certification testing.
- Collaborate and coordinate with development teams to identify and resolve issues related to certification requirements.
- Manage a team of certification testers, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Track and report on the status of certification testing, including progress, issues, and risks.
- Make recommendations on the severity of issues and which may be potentially waived
- Work closely with Publishing partners such as FQA, Production and Release Management to ensure that every step of the process is as efficient as it can be
- Collaborate with platform holders to stay up-to-date with certification requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure that all certification documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Proactively and through review identify areas for improvement in the certification process.
- Conduct spot checks of outsourced compliance testing to validate accuracy and quality of results.
- Develop internal publishing standards and create test cases to ensure quality and consistency for PC releases.
- Special projects as required.
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the games industry.
- Experience leading QA efforts for successful certification passes for game releases.
- Good grasp of first party requirements (TRCs, XRs, Lotcheck.
- Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
