As we continue to grow and explore new realms, we're seeking passionate, curious, and innovative minds to join the adventure.

As the Studio Technology Lead, you’ll serve as the first technical point of contact for Wizards of the Coast’s new Montreal studio! This hands-on role is responsible for building and maintaining high-performance workstations, supporting network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day IT services. You’ll work closely with developers, studio leadership, and partner teams across Wizards, Hasbro, and Invoke Studios to support the studio’s technical foundation from the ground up.

This is a highly independent role with broad technical scope. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, a high degree of ownership, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, development-focused environment. As the studio grows, this position may evolve in scope and responsibilities.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Montreal, with on-site presence required Tuesday through Thursday.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the first IT point of contact for the Montreal studio
  • Build, configure, and maintain custom, high-performance systems optimized for creative and development workflows
  • Support the studio with a wide range of IT needs, including triage, hardware diagnostics, upgrades, and hands-on repairs
  • Manage Mac and Windows workstations, including imaging, patching, user provisioning, and security compliance
  • Administer and support the Meraki-based network infrastructure
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including asset tracking and access provisioning
  • Ensure infrastructure meets performance, reliability, and security standards
  • Collaborate with Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast IT and Cybersecurity teams on technical issues, enterprise tools, and shared systems
  • Provide support for conference rooms, A/V setups, and on-site events
  • Support a hybrid/remote model across Hasbro, Wizards of the Coast, and its partner studios — including Invoke, Atomic Arcade, and Skeleton Key
  • Use ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent tools for documentation, tickets, and projects
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware, services, and local support needs

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in technical operations, systems administration, or IT infrastructure, preferably in game development, VFX, or creative production
  • Experience supporting technical workflows and applications common in game development, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Perforce, Git, or digital content creation tools
  • Strong capability in building, upgrading, and supporting custom workstations
  • Practical knowledge of both macOS and Windows in a production environment
  • Hands-on experience with Meraki networking hardware or similar network platforms
  • Familiarity with identity and endpoint management solutions, including Microsoft Intune, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID
  • Understanding of remote access tools such as Parsec to support hybrid workflows
  • Ability to operate independently while staying aligned with distributed teams and global IT operations
  • Proven communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mentality with a high degree of ownership

Nice to Have:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure or systems support
  • Experience coordinating technical operations in a fast-paced, startup or studio buildout environment
