The Associate Product QA Engineer partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure Hasbro’s toys and games meet consumer expectations of safety, compliance, and reliability. This role plays a key part in the early evaluation of product concepts and samples, identifying potential risks, and influencing design decisions to ensure manufacturability and adherence to global regulatory standards.
Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Tuesday – Thursday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA. In the interim, this position will be onsite Tuesday –Thursday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI.
A Day in The Life as an Associate Product QA Engineer:
- Partner with Brand and Product Development teams to review Product Concepts and Samples/
- Evaluate toy and game concepts early in development to identify safety, compliance, and reliability risks.
- Partner with the upfront teams to influence design to mitigate potential issues and ensure downstream systems can consistently manufacture products to meet requirements.
- Create comprehensive test plans aligned with global regulatory standards and validate that products meet or exceed safety and reliability requirements.
- Work with the downstream teams to ensure understanding of the Product requirements/ test plans and support team during debug
- Analyze Consumer Feedback and Implement Corrective Actions
- Monitor consumer complaints and product returns. Investigate root causes and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with upstream partners to improve D&D processes as well as downstream partners to identify trends and improve manufacturing processes
- Collaborating Across Global Teams
- Represent Quality Assurance in cross-functional meetings. Partner with Design, Marketing, Operations, Consumer Care, and Legal teams, as well as colleagues in Asia and other regions, to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Maintain QA Systems and Dashboards, drives a culture of continuous improvement
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum Education Level: BS Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 1 – 3 years’ Experience partnering with Design, Marketing, Operations, Consumer Care, and Legal teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Understanding and application of Quality tools and analysis
- Testing and Risk Assessment: Proficiency in developing test plans, conducting risk assessments, and validating product safety and reliability against international standards.
- Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to interpret quality metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions. Familiarity with tools like Power BI for dashboards and reporting (DAX, data modeling is a plus).
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Exposure to manufacturing processes and vendor quality management is a plus.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Drive initiatives to reduce defects, optimize processes, and enhance compliance systems.
- Effective Communication: Clear and persuasive communication skills for internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulators and vendors.
- Adaptability and Global Mindset: Ability to work across cultures and time zones, leveraging virtual collaboration tools effectively.

The base salary range for this position is $31.70 to $47.50. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
