We are seeking to add a Global Category Demand Planning Director to play an integral role in our Demand Planning Organization!
This role sits within the Demand Planning Center of Expertise which is responsible for delivering transformation and change management leadership
The Demand Planning Director will lead the “Global Play Leader” (GPL) Brand / Global and Regional Marketing facing Demand Planning activities inclusive of Wave Planning, Assortments and Life Cycle Management impacts, e.g. New Product Introductions and End-of-Life processes, Improve customer satisfaction and brand reputation, ultimately driving sales and revenue growth through improved material forecasting, ensuring supply chain management and inventory control are optimized for the production line.
A day in the life of a Global Category Demand Planning Director:
- Oversee technical system rollout and support regional teams in implementation.
- Build continuous improvement and sustain capabilities of both people and systems through the coaching of the GPL/Marketing team stakeholders.
- Enhance end-to-end central planning process associated with the GPL/category owners by embedding standardized global demand planning processes.
- Integrate performance management and monitor GPL/global category forecast accuracy and category level forecast bias and the forecast value add steps.
- Deploy training and capability building with the GPL/category owners and Marketing team and implement joint planning change management plan to reach cross-functional alignment.
- Develop and enforce best practice approaches globally with GPL/category owners and Marketing team stakeholders (e.g., standardized review of consensus demand, clear communication plan across teams).
- Incorporate understanding of Hasbro’s brands and commercial insights to generate robust consensus demand.
- Leverage knowledge of Hasbro and existing networks to drive cross functional alignment and collaboration.
- Apply expertise of demand planning and Sales forecasting efforts to effectively participate in the S&OE and IBP processes.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree (required). Preferred fields include Supply Chain Operations/Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management or related discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in areas of Demand Planning, sales planning, commercial and/or supply chain experience.
- Experience with sales forecasting, demand modeling, demand shaping, and allocation is required
- Excellent understanding of the Toy/FMCG industry & In-Country Commercial & supply chain needs strongly preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have a Successful track record of developing reliable forecasts that incorporate event lift, pricing elasticity, new product launches, retailer insights, and competitive activities.
- Critical thinker who makes analytical and data-driven decisions informed by leveraging multiple sources of internal and external consumer, competitor, market, product, and financial data.
- Demonstrated collaboration with and influencing across functions, including Commercial Sales, Brand/Marketing, Category Management, Finance and Supply Chain.
- Advanced communication skills with focus and experience on presenting decision inputs to Executive Leadership Teams.
- Must have a proven track record of project delivery success that should include system implementation / integration, cost savings, process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate data analyses with other forms of demand insight to calibrate demand planning tools or outputs from a commercial/sales perspective.
- Identify system capability improvement opportunities particularly with promotions and events and work with system team to implement changes.
- Leverage understanding of forecasting leading practices (i.e., tools, concepts) to improve adoption of standardized processes and increase forecast accuracy via forecast value-add across regions.
Compensation Range, Currency
Starting Pay Range: $134,200
Pay Range End: $201,200
