This person oversees the sales strategy and growth targets for their channel of business. Their main duties include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with customers, and delivering on quarterly goals. 

  • This critical role will lead the sales and business management team that supports the channel 

  • They train, develop and lead a team of sales managers 

  • They develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets 

  • They create and communicate channel strategies and achieve internal alignment 

  • They build and maintain best in class customer partnerships 

  • They understand industry trends and adapt plans to a diverse complicated omni-channel retail marketplace! 

 

A Day in the Life as a Director Sales:

  • Work closely with cross-functional support teams throughout the organization 

  • Lead short and long term business planning to create substantive account plans inclusive of business and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth for the direct sales of Hasbro’s toys, games and CP business 

  • Further the depth of account relations through day to day personal interaction with omni channel merchandising, inventory planning and supply chain. 

  • Lead analysis of sales data to ensure growth plans remain consistent with annual goals and make vital recommendations on course adjustments as needed 

 

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consistently delivering financial commitments, by quarter & full year. They understand how to drive supply chain transformation to meet the needs of changing and diverse retail platforms. In addition, they will have previous experience leading a portfolio of entertainment driven brands. They have proven experience developing a team of sales managers; they manage multiple diverse customer accounts; they efficiently handle complicated priorities and deadlines. They can see opportunities with their accounts, create strategic plans, communicate and present strategic opportunities both internally and externally; engage and inspire peers and their team to implement complicated plans. They report out on progress, and most importantly, adapt and change plans as retail changes.  

  • BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus 

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), or fast paced consumer goods industry 

  • Experience running multiple internal and external teams. 

  • Validated experience in driving accelerated revenue growth with complex accounts 

  • Expertise in redefining strategy and vision into useful plans. 

  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple initiatives simultaneously under tight time constraints and within budget parameters. 

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically as this position will require 25-50% travel. 

  • Advanced Excel/analytical Skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation 

  • Negotiation skills 

  • Proficient multi tasker
