We have an opportunity available for a Tax Director to play an integral role in our Tax organization! This leadership role is responsible for supporting the VP, Global Head of Tax by ensuring the Company meets its reporting and compliance obligations. This role requires the ability to derive continuous efficiencies and improvement to reporting and processes by automation and transformation. This is a great role for a highly motivated leader with strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational and project management skills and proven problem solving and decision-making capabilities!

 

This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work onsite in our Pawtucket, RI office 3 days per week.

 

A day in the life of a Director, Tax Reporting & Operations:

 

Reporting

  • Lead the preparation of the quarterly and annual US GAAP global income tax provision (ASC 740), including calculating the worldwide effective tax rate, current & deferred tax provisions, taxes payable and related disclosures.
  • Report quarterly and annual accounting for income tax results including journal entries and tax-related disclosures as the go-to contact for tax accounting.
  • Oversee all tax SOX related documentation and support identifying areas for improvement.
  • Update and maintain documentation in support of various tax reserves.
  • Maintain relationships with third-party auditors and tax advisors.
  • Support various collaborators by leading the tax impact forecasting process.

 

Compliance

  • Lead Tax team and third-party advisor in planning, execution and preparation and filing of US federal and state income tax returns.
  • Lead all aspects of filings for withholding, property and indirect taxes.
  • Assist with administration of tax audits (federal, state and other) and inquiries.

 

Support

  • Support new business initiatives by analyzing tax accounting implications.
  • Analyze and understand new tax legislation to forecast tax impacts to communicate to business partners.

 

Technology

  • Evaluate current processes to find opportunities to decrease manual work and improve efficiencies.
  • Develop roadmap to add and enhance tax technology solutions to optimize tax operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and standard processes in tax technology and apply knowledge to existing processes.

 

Talent & Development

  • Manage team of tax professionals ensuring both professional and technical development
  • Provide training to tax team as well as other relevant stakeholders.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of recent tax accounting experience, preferably a mix of Big 4 public accounting and multinational corporate environment for an SEC registrant.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree with tax as specialty a plus.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Knowledge of Alteryx is beneficial.
  • Exposure to MS Office, Longview Tax and Corp Tax, Tableau strongly desired.
  • Experience with software implementation (e.g., compliance or provision) a plus.
  • Ability to work and communicate with cross-functional internal and external partners.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence others.

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $146,800
  • Pay Range End: $220,200
