The position will report directly to the Global Franchise Leader and is responsible for all creative expressions of the brand to deliver an immersive brand experience.<br/>- The Franchise Creative Lead will translate the brand architecture into the creative blueprint for the property. You will work across the organization to provide the up-front creative strategy for franchise and IP direction, including Hasbro Studios and Hasbro’s Design and Development on the IP creative strategy and creative development plan.<br/>- The position will act as the ambassador and conduit between the franchise & entertainment communities within Hasbro and key 3rd parties.<br/>- The position will lead creative and development responsibility for the franchise style guide/bible.<br/><br/>Key Accountabilities:<br/>- Act as a creative enabler, collaborator and evangelist for the brand. Inspired by the brand’s heritage and able to use that as a source of creativity to visualize a myriad of future creative possibilities to extend the brand franchise.<br/>- A creative catalyst with a critical understanding of the fusion of cultural, emotional and social trends that will define the brand’s progression from franchise to global icon.<br/>- Leads through creative influence and partners with cross-functional branding colleagues to shape the strategic creative direction of the brand, build alignment and secure sponsorship to accelerate the conceptualization and program approval processes.<br/>- Capacity to work collaboratively to create the central up-front story vision for the brand to ensure creative integrity and will set out the creative framework that defines the play value and the creative themes for future product and story-telling development.<br/>- Development of the Brand Bible/Style Guide, which includes incorporating the overarching meta-story, detailed character descriptions, world descriptions, guidelines for creating content and visual assets.<br/>- Partners with the functional brand design/development teams to ensure the needs of the Design & Development & Entertainment & Licensing organizations are met by facilitating specific brand materials including brand guides, story content direction and design programs that support the global plan and objectives.<br/>- Ultimately assumes creative accountability for the brand by influencing IP development and by working in concert with cross-functional content teams (web, studio, gaming, product, licensing and publishing) to ensure the integrity, continuity and relevance of the brand across all platforms, mediums & formats.<br/>- Ability to translate a Marketing Strategy into a creative vision that fulfills the strategic objectives.<br/>- Inspired by an insatiable desire to deliver creative and innovative brand ideation that clearly differentiates the brand and provides an aspirational quality that readily connects with consumers across the target demographic.<br/>- An innovative problem solver with the capacity to see opportunities where others see only challenges.<br/>- An authoritative, passionate and creative ambassador for the brand who is able to generate support and excitement for their creative strategy with internal and external stakeholders.<br/>- Embodies the concept of being on-brand, on-trend and on-strategy in all that they do and think.<br/>- Works tirelessly to align the creative strategy with the commercial drivers of the franchise.<br/><br/>Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:<br/>- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in a creative, licensing or entertainment environment where property not product is king.<br/>- Understanding of the current and future trends and external influences that shape kids’ entertainment<br/>- Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, Design or related field required. Advanced degree or continuing education strongly preferred<br/>- A creative at their core who has developed the capability to transform their creativity into commercial success.<br/>- A proven track record in conceiving industry leading “talked about” entertainment strategies that have successfully supported the growth of signature properties.<br/>- A strategic thinker who has the capacity to distill complex concepts into a simple and comprehensible language that creates energy, engagement and excitement across the organization and stakeholder base.<br/>- An architect of change and an advocate of what if thinking.
