He or she must possess excellent writing, editorial, and project management skills and a demonstrated command of all facets of creative writing, including the ability to name products and develop signature styles that capture and define the essence of our brands. In addition, the writer may be called on to develop longer-form instructions such as manuals or rules booklets, for which knowledge of both technical writing and graphic design principles is an advantage.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Games Brand Writer may be called on to develop content for his or her games. This requires collaborating with Game Design on a content spec and writing or commissioning outside writers to create the content. Content may be trivia-based or humorous references to lifestyles or pop culture. The successful writer will be comfortable writing content in different voices for a variety of audiences.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Games Brand Writer manages as many as 15 concurrent active projects and tracks constantly changing product information to keep all copy accurate. The writer must thrive in a highly creative fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment. He or she enthusiastically plays games for gameplay development or testing.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Games Brand Writer may produce instructional videos for his or her games. This will include writing or collaborating on a script, working with a studio on casting and production, and reviewing and obtaining necessary internal approvals. </p> <p> </p> <p>The Games Brand Writer has flawless copy editing and proofreading skills, as well as knowledge of editorial best practices as defined in <em>Chicago Manual of Style</em>.
