2026 Summer 3D Digital Product Design Internship    

Hasbro is seeking an energetic, innovative, and creative candidate for its 3D Sculpting Team. The candidate must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Sculpting, 3D Modeling, Art or Product Development. The candidate must possess strong project management skills, be able to work in a team environment and have good communication skills with the ability to execute multiple projects with time sensitive schedules and shifting priorities. This person must be able to work in a team structure and possess strong communication skills, both written and oral. The candidate must be able to show the ability to work under tight deadlines and must be proficient in problem solving and learning software.   

The Internship Experience  

As a 3D Digital Product Design Intern, you’ll join Hasbro’s innovative 3D Product Design team, collaborating with talented digital artists and designers to bring characters, creatures, and products to life. You’ll work in a fast‑paced, highly creative environment where you’ll contribute to real product development, learn industry‑standard tools, and gain hands‑on experience transforming concepts into production‑ready digital assets. You’ll partner closely with cross‑functional teams, rapid prototyping labs, and model shops, seeing firsthand how ideas evolve from sketch to physical product. 

What You'll Do as a 3D Digital Product Design Intern:  

  • Create, execute, and sculpt a wide variety of digital assets, including concept models, engineering models, tooling patterns, and high‑resolution 3D models. 

  • Produce high‑quality hard‑surface models, organic sculpts (human and creature forms), and PBR‑ready renders using industry-standard 3D software. 

  • Interpret 2D sketches, photo references, and scan data to generate accurate and polished 3D surfaces. 

  • Collaborate with the 3D Design Sculpting Team to prepare models for reviews and production‑ready files for tooling. 

  • Engage in creative problem‑solving using new technologies, software, and innovative methods. 

  • Identify development or process challenges, recommend solutions, and help implement improvements. 

  • Create 2D and 3D content for marketing channels including social media, press materials, and product demonstrations. 

  • Visualize concepts through Photoshop and illustration tools for clear communication and artistic refinement. 

  • Incorporate engineering criteria into designs, ensuring feasibility while meeting creative intent. 

  • Work with cross‑functional partners such as Engineering, Rapid Prototyping, and Model Shop teams to meet project deliverables. 

  • Support ideation sessions, contribute new ideas, and present relevant design concepts. 

  • Maintain clean, organized files and follow strong digital asset management practices. 

What You'll Bring:  

  • 1–2 years of experience in sculpting, 3D modeling, art, animation, or product development. 

  • Strong understanding of anatomy, form, proportion, and overall design sensibilities. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with time‑sensitive deadlines and shifting priorities. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. 

  • Ability to learn new software quickly, troubleshoot creatively, and solve design challenges. 

  • Proficiency in:  

  • ZBrush 

  • Adobe Creative Suite 

  • KeyShot 

  • Blender 

  • Maya 

  • Unreal Engine 

  • Microsoft Office 

  • Currently enrolled full‑time in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Animation, Game Art, Illustration, Fine Art, etc.). 

 

Nice to Have:  

  • Experience in digital sculpting, organic modeling, hard‑surface modeling, rigging, and digital texturing. 

  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping, 3D scanning, and other 3D tools or advanced workflows. 

  • Experience with Freeform or other specialized sculpting/modeling applications. 

  • Strong conceptual illustration skills. 

  • Interest in new technologies, methods, and innovation within digital product design. 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:   

  • Undergraduate Interns: $26.00 – $32.00/hour 

Program Details

  • End: Late August (target August 21)  

  • Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)

The base salary range for this position is $26.00 to $32.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
