Data Analyst Co-op, Hasbro Inc. 

 
NOTE: THIS CO-OP PROGRAM BEGINS IN August/September 2022 and is located in Pawtucket RI 

 

We are currently seeking a naturally curious, self-starter that loves to solve challenges and puzzles and can tell a story with data.  The ideal candidate will bring a combination of financial awareness as well as being passionate about data analytics.  The candidate will have the opportunity to work on the Hasbro Global Ecommerce Team with some projects being specific to our global Amazon and eCommerce business.   Support will be within the areas of both finance and data analytics.  

 

 

Project Opportunities Include:  

 

  • Monthly global reporting of financial results for Amazon and eCommerce
  • Analysis of external economic trends to support team knowledge
  • Support development of sku profitability analytics at key eCommerce retailers
  • Assist in creating metrics to measure key retailers
  • Support predictive model for Amazon/eCommerce shipments using R Studio and excel
  • Analysis of retail trends
  • Promotional campaign performance, pre/post analysis of marketing activations across various brands  
  • Brand/item performance across different accounts

 

A day in the life of a Data Analyst Co-op: 

 

  • Assemble, manage, and investigate data used for various analytical purposes 
  • Develop, maintain & execute programs to merge data for analytic uses 
  • Develop insights to assist in optimizing investment spend 
  • Research growing market trends/mine Hasbro data to develop new insights
  • Demonstrate understanding of forecasting, optimization, statistical analysis, and operations research 
  • Analyze/extract relevant information from historical data to help automate and optimize key processes 
  • Document and communicate technical/analytic results for a non-technical audience 

 

What you’ll bring: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Applied Math, Data Analytics or related 

Strong awareness of financial terms and statements

Pursuing a Master’s degree  

Advanced knowledge and use of excel

Programming  skills/ ability to utilize a variety of analytic software languages/tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, R, etc.) 

Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues

Awareness of forecasting techniques such as trend analysis, econometric models, etc.

Knowledge of a variety of statistical concepts and procedures is helpful
