Do you have a real passion for forecasting and planning? We are very excited to have an opportunity available for a Demand Planning Manager to join the Hasbro team! In this role you will provide subject matter expertise and work collaboratively to develop a Demand Planning center of excellence.

 

The Global Category Demand Planning Manager is the overall owner of the Demand Planning / Forecasting process for their category. The goal of the Global Category Demand Planning Manager is to drive the forecast reconciliation process from Global Play Lead (GPL) teams rolling up from regions, continuously improving service levels through accurate forecasting. This is accomplished by leveraging Hasbro’s Logility solution to create baseline forecasts through analytical and statistical forecasting methods, and through working with GPL’s and market-based planners to create and enrich baseline, resulting in a consensus forecast.  They will be a brand/category expert knowing key trends, risk and opportunities through close partnership with GPL & market teams. Furthermore, this role will support range alignment within category and support to elevate planning accuracy and reduction in bias.
 
Location - Position will be based in Pawtucket, RI office as an onsite/hybrid role.

A remote role option (East Coast only) may be considered with 25-50% travel to office

 

A Day In The Life as a Global Category Demand Planning Manager:

  • Maintain forecasting models to support the creation of a rolling 24-month baseline forecast for all products within the portfolio of the assigned category and manage product data effectively to support categorization of the portfolio by lifecycle/stage, brand, category, and other product characteristics to determine appropriate forecasting models by portfolio segment/category. Have a full understanding of Excess and Close-Out position of the category and support local teams to drive necessary action to reduce old inventory.
  • Coordinate with GPL’s to effectively manage forecasts for product introductions and discontinuations in line with strategic commercial plans, ensuring alignment, data flows between the Product to Market application (P2M) and Logility, and likewise be an active part of Portfolio Management Review as part of IBP to ensure the portfolio is strategically aligned identifying opportunities to support the rationalization agenda.
  • Be a partner to local market/regional planners ensuring brand strategy is incorporated in local demand forecasts, partnering as they incorporate planned commercial activities such as promotions, deals, and media campaigns, as well as market intelligence such as competitive activity and retailer priorities to build upon the baseline and create an aligned consensus forecast. Coordinate as required Demand Management Review (DMR) input for global DMR/ GPL reviews.
  • In coordination with Hasbro’s Analytics, Insights, and Measurements team (AIM) and GPL, provide insights to commercial demand planning on volumetric studies implication to forecast, global brand insights, category ambition and potential opportunities for growth, and create category demand analysis and insight and recommended actions for various reviews.
  • In coordination with the COE team, Demand Planning Community of Practice (CoP) and wider planning community, continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Demand Planning process support technology solutions, define and implement accuracy improvements through rigorous monthly KPI reviews at category/brand/item level, and lead category forecast process improvements.

 
What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management
  • 7-10 years’ experience in Demnd Planning and forecasting for toy industry, retail, or comparable seasonal high SKU-count CPG industry
  • Has worked in international matrix environment and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be effective in building positive relationships, working effectively across functions and geographies, and influencing business decisions.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience utilizing advanced supply chain planning solutions.
  • High level of attention to detail, able to analyze large quantities of data, identify issues and implications, and create a prioritized plan to address.
  • Demonstrate a bias for action, operating with a high sense of urgency.
  • Strategic thinker, can understand overall company direction and build relevant functional strategies to support this as well as sound commercial and financial acumen, can interpret and explain complex statistical information.
  • Good understanding of product, brand building, internal process and market / customer environment.
  • Strong decision making by making facts-based decisions and following through to completion, analyses and uses data to achieve company goals, drives execution, initiates action and follow up.
     

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $104,200
  • Pay Range End: $172,700
