Do you have a background in capital planning and CAPEX management? We have a newly created role for a Finance Manager who is passionate about building processes and procedures to join our team! The Manager of Capital Management leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of the organization’s capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operating expenditures (OPEX), investment activities, and supports allocation strategies. They ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals, strategic priorities, and risk management standards. The Finance Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior leadership, to deliver effective capital and investment management solutions. This position reports to the Sr. Director Enterprise Cost Management.
This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to work in our Pawtucket, RI office 3 days per week.
A day in the life of a Finance Manager:
- Develop and implement strategies for managing the investment structure, ensuring optimal allocation of financial resources. Build and lead internal CAPEX / Investment Committee.
- Create enterprise economic evaluation models and assumptions with focus on key performance indicators. Evaluate, prioritize, and track projects in alignment with objectives, financial constraints, and organizational risk tolerance.
- Lead the in-year, annual and long-term CAPEX planning process.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure timely execution, cost control, and return on investment for capital projects. Identify and mitigate risks associated with investments through contingency plans.
- Prepare detailed financial analyses, forecasts, and performance reports for initiatives. Drive consistency in reporting and technology usage across all business teams.
- Conduct post-audit and post-implementation reviews of projects to evaluate performance and outcomes. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Build and maintain relevant policies and procedures.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
- 7 - 10 years of experience in finance, investment management, or related fields, with a focus on capital planning and CAPEX management. Proven track record of managing complex capital projects and investment portfolios.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills coupled with dynamic thinking and decision-making to drive value creation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage several priorities.
- Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including SAP.
Compensation Range, Currency USD:
- Starting Pay Range: $112,200
- Pay Range End: $168,300
