Each offering a very unique skillset to create simple to complex prototypes utilizing basic to the most advanced cutting edge technology. We work collaboratively together to support every brand team within Hasbro in creating prototype models and engineering solutions at every stage of development.  We are looking for an individual that can take a project from a rough idea/sketch through to a finished prototype while communicating with engineers and designers to give value added feedback that would enhance product development.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>A Day in the life as a Model Maker</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the development of a variety of prototypes that include conceptual models, engineering breadboards, mechanisms, and highly detailed functioning show samples.</li> <li>This person must be very organized, have strong verbal/written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.</li> <li>They must be able visualize a 3-dimensional part from mechanical drawings or hand sketches to develop digital files.</li> <li>Must be a self-starter, work independently, have a high attention to detail, be customer oriented, and possess strong problem solving skills.</li> <li>Provides support to development groups for sales/marketing presentations, trade show and play-tests. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>This position requires strong conceptual development and the ability to design and build unique mechanisms, potentially with integrated electronics, while maintaining esthetic features.</li> <li>Be able to contribute to the ideation of new concepts that will expand the brand experience, product function/performance, manufacturing efficiency or process improvements.</li> <li>Must be proficient in the use of all department equipment including hand tools, conventional machinery, CNC, Laser Cutters, and rapid prototyping equipment.</li> <li>A strong understanding and ability to generate assets using Solidworks, Mastercam, Illustrator and Photoshop. </li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel globally to support setup of toyfairs and marketing/sales events, maintain samples on location, and coordinate sample pack-out and shipments.</li> </ul>
