Packaging Engineer Co-op

We are looking for creative individuals with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to fill a 6-month co-op position from July-December 2026. This role will support packaging development for the entire Hasbro portfolio, including toys and games. The individual will have the opportunity to work on world-class brands such as Nerf, Play-Doh, Star Wars, Transformers, and Marvel. Candidates must be hard-working, and outstanding teammates with strong interpersonal skills. Co-ops will work in ArtiosCAD to design and develop dielines, and work with the cross-functional team to evaluate cost and help deliver projects on time. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. Previous graduates are no longer eligible for Hasbro's internship and co-op programs.

A day in the life of a Packaging Engineer Co-op:

  • Design packages that consider perceived value, aesthetic appeal, and branding direction throughout the product development cycle.
  • Develop packaging concepts through brainstorms for toys and branding statements.
  • Create 2D and 3D CAD files for cost effective, sustainable, and creative packaging.
  • Create detailed packaging specifications and BOM’s
  • Prototype fully assembled packaging; including packaging whites and blisters
  • Exposure to a team environment and fast paced schedules.

What you'll bring:

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student. Students graduating in Spring 2026 are NOT eligible for Fall 2026 co-op opportunities.
  • Co-op assignment can be either a required or optional requirement for graduation. Must be available to work full-time as a co-op from July - December 2026
  • Creative and conceptual thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail
  • A brainstorming mind to produce package concepts through sketches and explanations
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mentality
  • Openness for improvement through personal goals and constructive feedback
  • Knowledge of 2D CAD & 3D in ArtiosCAD and SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a plus

Candidates are responsible for their own housing & transportation (FREE Parking).

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $30.00/hr
  • Pay Range End: $36.00/hr

Location/Ways of Working:

  • At Hasbro’s Corporate Headquarters in Pawtucket, RI until the company officially moves to the Seaport area of Boston in Q4 of 2026
  • 40hrs/week
  • Hybrid/In-office (Expectation onsite Tues/Wed/Thurs- more as needed)

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 to $36.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
