You will help lead the research and development of new, sustainable plastics for use in future Hasbro toys and games, making our product and packaging materials more sustainable for consumers and the planet.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>A day in the life as a Sustainable Polymer Engineer</strong></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Collaborate with Chemical companies, Material suppliers, OEMVendors and Universities on R&D work to study the creation, chemistry and application of new, sustainable plastics.</span></span></li> </ul> <ul> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Manage the development of new, sustainable plastics. Responsibilities include: material trial plans, material feasibility, sample tooling approval, prototyping schedules, cost analysis.</span></span></li> <li><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Work with internal partners in QA, Engineering, and Manufacturing to support the validation of new, sustainable plastics to ensure they meet Hasbro’s requirements of safety, quality and function.</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0px"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></span></span></p> <ul> <li>Genuine passion for Sustainability</li> <li>Enthusiasm for plastic research and development</li> <li>Self-starter mindset and proven work ethic</li> <li>Positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively </li> <li>5-8 years professional experience with technical expertise in the area of Polymer engineering and Materials science </li> <li>Working knowledge related to the development and manufacturing of bio-based plastics is preferred</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer/Materials Engineering or a related discipline </li> <li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Availability to travel 25% of time.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Join our team and be part of creating the world’s most sustainable play experiences.</p> <p> </p>
