Hasbro is seeking a passionate brands communications professional to join our dynamic and growing Global Corporate Communications team! The Senior Manager Brand Communications/Governance and Crisis Management will lead proactive and reactive storytelling, and be responsible for protecting and maintaining the corporate reputation of Hasbro and its brands. Reporting to the VP Brand Comms & Governance this role will also support crisis communications from preparedness through to mitigation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Hasbro’s global brand governance and crisis management strategy
  • Continually monitor and evolve tools and processes to identify issues with the potential to negatively impact brand reputation
  • Regularly conduct assessments and build contingency plans to anticipate potential crisis scenarios
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and lead communication strategies to mitigate or resolve issues that may be a threat to the company and its brands’ reputation
  • Develop and maintain Hasbro’s crisis communications playbook, monitor for trends, and integrate best practices around crisis response and management
  • Develop company positioning on key issues – working in partnership with senior global leadership and key external partners
  • Draft proactive and reactive messaging for retailers, consumers and media
  • Develop and drive internal and external communications for Hasbro’s executive leadership team during times of crisis
  • Work closely with Hasbro’s corporate communications team on proactive media engagement to tell Hasbro’s corporate stories
  • Develop and handle top-tier media relationships
  • Actively pursue learning and professional development opportunities

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; Minimum 10 years in public relations/communications at large, multinational organizations with a focus on corporate reputation and crisis communications
  • Expertise in developing effective global crisis communications plans and policies
  • Calm and cool under pressure and experience in counseling executives through crisis situations
  • Ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
  • Will have a strong media relations background and drive and execute strategies to manage corporate reputation proactively and reactively
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task, prioritize and successfully handle communications during times of crisis within a complex, matrixed and fast-paced environment
  • Track record developing and implementing compelling narratives to advance corporate reputation
  • Ability to communicate information effectively and accurately
  • Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively, take initiative with strong organizational and management skills issues management and corporate communication plans
  • Capable of achieving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often on short deadlines
