Hasbro is currently recruiting enthusiastic, technically curious & creative engineering students to assist Engineers & Project Managers in the development of our products. You will learn how a toy or game is developed from initial concept in the through the manufacturing and sampling review process. While supporting the team and leading Project Engineering work there are also opportunities to take on independent project or product design responsibility.

We also offer a unique opportunity to our students to participate in Hasbro’s Co-op EPIC group project and work in teams to bring a new idea for a Hasbro product to concept stage. This includes presenting the idea to business partners at various checkpoints in the process and prototyping the concept for presentation. We are looking for a Mechanical or Industrial Engineers for this Project Engineer Co-op to work with our Product Development team across our Hasbro Toy and Games portfolio, including Play-Doh, NERF and Transformers!

A day in the life of a Project Engineer:

  • Work with Development teams to ensure quality, cost and schedule adherence.
  • Assist Engineers during concept development, prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing debug
  • Ideate, test and evaluate new compounds, games, blasters, etc.
  • Provide technical advice and feasibility assessment for new product concepts
  • Connect with cross functional teams (Marketing, Design, Project Management, Packaging, Quality, Legal, and Hasbro Far East Engineers) on product content issues throughout the entire development process.
  • Create product specification packages (using Excel, Word and our web-based product development system) to define product content and functionality, including cost and delivery targets
  • Participate in cost review and value engineering efforts to meet business objectives
  • Part and mechanism creation with SolidWorks may be available for candidates with knowledge of this CAD software (depending on business need)

What you'll bring:

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student. Students graduating in 2025 are NOT eligible for Fall 2025 co-op opportunities.
  • Co-op assignment can be either a required or optional requirement for graduation. Must be available to work full-time as a co-op from July - December 2025
  • Completion of at least one year of study towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong time/project management skills & the desire to build/expand proficiency in this area
  • Intermediate-level skills in MS Excel, Word & Outlook & web-based applications
  • Previous project work or co-op experience in manufacturing, product design engineering, mechanism design, compound development
  • Passion for collaboration, play and consumer product development

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $30.00
  • Pay Range End: $36.00

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 to $36.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
