Are you an experienced Procure to Pay (P2P) professional looking for your next exciting role with an iconic and innovative brand? We have a newly created P2P Specialist role for the Americas which will support Hasbro’s Purchasing and Accounts Payable functions in partnership with a newly established Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider!

 

This team plays a critical role in our Global P2P Business Enablement function and will help ensure established governance principles and standard processes are adhered to within the operating framework for Hasbro. This is a highly collaborative position that will support internal teams on P2P projects, including new systems, upgrades, process, and regulatory changes. In partnership with the Global Procure to Pay Process Owner and P2P Business Partner they will support the successful transition to the P2P End-to-End Business Enablement operating model. This includes all countries and entities for the Americas region. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone who has a passion for cultural transformation and change management!

 

This position can be located in our Pawtucket, RI office or remotely in the Eastern Time Zone.

 

A day in the life of a P2P Specialist:

  • Ensure established policies and procedures are adhered to by the Business Process Outsourcing provider and users. Have oversight on the processing of new suppliers and amendments, payment runs, and exception transactions by the BPO provider. Assist the BPO provider on compliance with SOX controls, tax, audit, and applicable tax tables where required. Monitor BPO processing for related PR/PO tasks.
  • Support Hasbro internal collaborators, and external collaborators such as suppliers, banking partners and government institutions.
  • Complete critical system administration maintenance, such as ERP approval tables, release strategies and assist with managing user access rights and audits.
  • Operate retained P2P tasks.
  • Support the Business Partner on working with the BPO in achieving timely financial close processes. Help ensure P2P related accounting transactions are accurate and timely recorded, such as journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • In collaboration with the Business Partner, we will monitor the performance of the BPO through established P2P service levels. Review critical and key important metrics results and address BPO deficiencies in service levels and metrics. The Accountant / Representative will be the first line of support for the BPO on enquires and resolving critical issues.
  • Promote compliant P2P ways of work and be a role model for Hasbro and BPO teams.

What you will bring:

  • Solid understanding and experience in end-to-end P2P business processes including Internal Controls / SOX knowledge.
  • Experience working directly and/or indirectly through a BPO is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting improvement projects within a business environment desirable.
  • Experience working with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) required. SAP preferred.
  • Able to support the team in engaging people in adapting to change.
  • Exposure to new technologies e.g., BOTS and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI is helpful.
  • Some knowledge of process, reporting and BI tool applications in both developed and developing business environments.
  • Experienced in leading adoption of the best business practices.
  • Shows strategic agility, business sense and demonstrates problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Some experience with business-critical metrics and handling service level agreements.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus.
