This newly created role will be working under the supervision of the Manager, North America, thinking creatively and contributing ideas both internally and externally while ensuring the efficient flow of goods.

We will look to you to analyze and summarize information while troubleshooting a wide range of issues. This role handles and designs warehouse databases, troubleshoots issues as they arrive. We will be looking to you to evaluate data and make recommendations to management on how to improve data flow, reporting and business issues. This position requires strong written and analytical skills and will work in a cross functional teams-based environment to accomplish strategic and tactical goals.

 

A day in the life as a Logistics Analyst

  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers; identify and detail warehouse requirements, expectations and needs.
  • Partner with warehouse representatives for problem resolution; provide recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Analyze warehouse metrics and summarize results through daily, weekly and monthly reports to internal management and external providers, and make recommendation on how to make improvements!
  • Identify and initiate process changes with warehouses/transportation/internal systems issues affecting work processes
  • Develop and maintain SOP’s, Reports and Key Performance Indicators in conjunction with Manager Logistics, North America for optimal results.
  • Analyze domestic warehousing metrics to identify areas for risk mitigation and process improvement.
  • Lead domestic warehouse scorecard based on monthly historic data; Identify trends relative to warehouse performance, lead times, cost and volume and share on process improvement ideation.
  • Recommend and pursue creative opportunities for continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs via system improvements, procedure changes, etc.
  • Maintain open and productive communication with internal and external partners to provide imperative information for warehouse issues or delays.
  • Actively chip in to development and implementation of Domestic warehouse initiatives as established by Logistics Manager.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Preferred: 1-2 years of supply chain experience, warehouse reporting a plus
  • Knowledge of logistics terminology and relevant data elements for reporting/analysis.
  • Experience in North America logistics/operations.
  • Proven understanding of SAP/ERP preferred not required
  • Affinity to communicate at a variety of levels internally and externally, written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Tried analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • We are looking for someone who wants to learn new skills and conduct research independently.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build and manage relationships.
  • Strong Excel skills. (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas)
