We are seeking a Retail Development Manager to join Hasbro’s Consumer Products North America team!

 

This professional will be responsible for the development and execution of retail marketing and channel expansion strategies and programs to maximize overall sales revenue. The focus of the position is to develop strategic business plans and implementations through working with retail partners, key licensees and Hasbro Toy & Games teams to boost sales of products. We are looking for someone who can cultivate new opportunities with meaningful categories to gain geographic expansion and broader exposure across all relevant channels in North America.

 

A day in the life as a Retail Development Manager for Hasbro Consumer Products…

  • Develop and execute retail plans, marketing campaigns and retail events for key licensees in collaboration with category and T&G teams to drive business growth.
  • Cultivate direct relationships with key buyers while building overall business strategy with Hasbro T&G, as well as key licensees with the right product mix/pricing for these specific channels.
  • Identify priorities within channels and core brands, while testing new opportunities for retail and franchise development.
  • Develop go to market plans and activate against key strategies to drive retail presence and expand product footprint and reach.
  • Create a strategy and execute on building and expanding retail placement with multi-category availability in all specialty and emerging channels
  • Identify, pitch and secure new retail programs to extend our brands’ reach and impressions.  Secure incremental product placement and brand exposure opportunities (in and out of aisle) across specific retail channels. 
  • Craft and deliver tailored retail presentations to relevant buyers at key time periods and communicate consistently with retail partners on brand activity/performance to ensure continued retail support and to maximize in-store presence and placement.
  • Develop and implement creative retail marketing events and promotions that are tailored to each account and will provide broader support of our brands
  • Share retail initiatives and key information regularly with internal departments to ensure all groups are aligned in strategy and development

 

Communication:

  • Regular communication with Retailers and Key Licensees to monitor, track and build the business is a must.
  • Build best in class relationships with all key stake holders internally and externally.
  • As the Retail lead, collaborate and work with all key lines of business internally with GBT, Local Markets, Regional Teams, LBE. Design and development and regional legal and finance.
  • Work hand in hand with Category team to support all Retail promotions and franchise health for 365 listings.

 

What you’ll bring…

  • Sales experience in a relevant Entertainment Company or Consumer Products/Licensing environment
  • You will be a confident and motivated self-starter with the passion for executing a plan.
  • Action orientated, self-motivated sales professional with demonstrable business acumen
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders & projects within a retail buying environment   
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Clear, persuasive, verbal and written communication skills including active listening ability
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and passion for brand activation & retail
  • Positive thinking, high energy and excellent relationship building skills
  • A ‘team player’ attitude
  • Ability to navigates complex matrices & find solutions
  • Ideally with relevant and well-established networks
  • Degree level education (or equivalent), within business, commerce, marketing or sales related fields
