As a Quality Engineer working on the D&D Beyond team, you will join an adventuring party of engineers supporting the folks building the best-in-class digital play solutions for the world’s greatest roleplaying game! You will assist one of our product engineering teams in ensuring that our products and services meet the established quality standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.

What You'll Do:

  • Developing and introducing quality-related procedures and tools
  • Assist engineering teams in testing activities through exploratory test sessions and identifying potential risks
  • Identify and plan the necessary test coverage for supported services and implement test automation suites using the existing toolset, together with CI/CD pipelines running these tests
  • Maintain and improve our auxiliary tooling for user and test data management
  • Implement the overall quality strategy within supported services and teams
  • Assist the execution of non-functional tests (performance, security, accessibility)
  • Create necessary dashboards that inform about the state of quality of our services and processes

What You'll Bring:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in testing the entire stack of modern web applications
  • Solid understanding of agile and quality assurance principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Proficiency in Playwright or other web test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with AWS and Docker
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, e.g. GitHub Actions

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with C# and .NET framework, as some of our services are built using these technologies
  • Familiarity building and maintaining cloud infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform.
  • Proficiency in Node.JS apps and Serverless framework
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog for monitoring, logging, and tracing
  • Familiarity with mobile test automation frameworks, e.g. Appium
  • A passion for Dungeons & Dragons (D&D)
  • You enjoy throwing Fireballs in the face of danger (but all new party members are welcome!)

This role will be hired through a contract/temp agency and is a 6 month initial contract, which can be extended out to 12 months.
