Atomic Arcade is a brand-new video game development studio located in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area led by industry veterans from AAA game and film studios. We are in the process of staffing up our development team with outstanding talent to build our first multi-platform, AAA game - a bold and contemporary new take on the GI JOE Universe starring the legendary character Snake Eyes! This is an excellent opportunity to not only build an outstanding AAA experience but to also help form the core foundations for the studio and team to build upon. We are seeking a skilled Senior Cinematics Engineer with a strong passion for building tools that create high quality cinematics. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the cinematics team, audio developers, game programmers, and designers to create narrative workflows and systems that build an immersive AAA player experience.

What You'll Do:

• Define, Develop, and Maintain the cinematic pipeline that supports the game's storytelling sequences
• Collaborate with our Cinematic, Programming, and Content teams to bring the game experience to a AAA level
• Create a smooth workflow between multiple applications in the narrative and dialogue tool chain
• Generate tools to increase quality and efficiency of Narrative teams across the studio
• Write clear, performant, maintainable, portable code
• Author documentation that communicates quality workflows and technical constraints to content creation and engineering team members
• Contribute to cinematic tools, technology, and knowledge shared across multiple projects

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years experience developing AAA titles
• Excellent command of the C++ programming language
• Experience working with the Unreal Engine Sequencer or a similar cinematic system in a different engine
• Understanding of the processes, tools, and data involved with high quality game cinematic creation
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Passion for making and playing games
• Ability to interact and collaborate with all departments and teams

Nice to Have:

• Professional experience developing in Unreal Engine 5

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

• Starting Pay Range: $129,200
• Pay Range End: $215,520
